Dear Ladies,
unfortunately i am in hurry right now, so i can't get into the details of my ordeal, pain, suffering, suicidal thoughts etc... i'll save that for later, but i want to share with you how HL is really manageable and controllable and its within your power, trust me, to turn things into your own favor.
That you can revert back to your previous hair volume, well I guess that depends a bit on how far your HL has progressed and how determined you are.
For me, I am in control and that is what counts.
The other point that we need to face, accept and realize, is there is no ultimate cure, only means to control and manage the HL.
So in brief, my story is truly long and painful but the conclusions are as follows ( and I will be posting a much more detailed account):
Step one: identify all the issues, such as (scalp: oil, dry, flacky, smelly etc, skin face: oily, flacky, body: hair excess, residing, under arms, pubic etc)
Analyse yourself to the minutes detail and try to capture all factors that may coorellate.
Don’t rely on any clinical accounts, they are also just base don’t the observation of symptoms manifested in patients. Yoiiu may have different one, more and slightly different than what AA is described as. You may shedd excess, while apparently AA does not display that symptom. Don’t try to categories your HL as first, just take down all the things you notice on your body, internal and external
Step 2: a comprehensive cleanse is necessary to eliminate any association with toxins etc
Step 3: a contraceptive pill with good estrogen levels (I use diane and I love it!) along with finesterid ( I also took very high quality distilled saw palmetto in addition) and other pill that has worked for you in some way ( although I don’t really recommend spiro due to its diuretic effect)
Step 4: a comprehensive scalp treatment regime: I do, 3x a week steaming in a saloon, where I get them to use my own ayurvedic neem oil then have them do a scalp massage. Sometimes I also leave oil overnight! But the message to keep the scalp loose and well circulated is essential! Any good shampoo will do, you don’t need to use much of these facncy shampoos is you stick to the above!
Step 5: try to maintain a somewhat healthy diet after the cleanse but don’t stress about it too much. Try to cut out very acid food from your diet and make sure to drink a good alkalizing mineral water. Repeat the cleanse every so often, but do things in moderation.
Step 6: consider HT for the areas that you still feel or see have not completely recovered. In my case its one part of my frontline. I am planning to get it corrected in Bangkok in spring. The issue is there is no point considering surgery as long as you have not controlled your fall out.
Here are my conclusions:
The cure I used put my entire body back on track. It also eliminated a lot of toxins and for some reason or the other, the pill and finesterid had a much better effect.
Only 2 weeks into the cure the smell of my scalp totally disappeared and my HL totally stopped. Literally from one day to the next. I went from literally shedding hundereds to 5 a day. But, nothing lasts for ever. I was then so bold that I thought the cure was the ultimate answer and got of all other pills etc. big mistake.
I discovered over the past 4 years that its about using things in conjunction and together, nothing works miracles in isolation.
Another point is that neither all natural or all allopathic will bring your hair back, so don’t even hope!
How is my hair now:
Again, I’ll be honest. I go through phases. At times its simply amazing, almost as it used to be. Then I get lazy, don’t follow the pricipals above, eat a lot of crap, don’t do the treatments, don’t stock on a supply of finesterid etc and then I go again, with a full shed. Although not quiet as bad as before my discovery but still, enough to thin my hair out significantly.
My trick: I can’t keep up some religious hair treatment regime, I also want to enjoy life and may not always have all the above available, but what I do, is that I pull it through for a few months, so then I have enough hair to last me through a cycle of relaxing and totally ignoring the fact that I have HL. In those periods I also don’t care if I loose 1000 or 10 a day or after a shower, I don’t count, I don’t stress etc…. I know that once I get back to my regime, it all comes back.
I have done the above countless times!
I have even thought about writing a book but then I don’t want too many inexperience teenagers taking finesterid or other things like androcure when they start loosing a few strands. There are serious risks and I cannot assume the responsibility of people following my advice when they are not fully aware of the consequences ( every year there are deformed babies born because of Acutane abuse, misuse, and lack of awareness!)
What I advocate is for serious sufferers who are fully aware of all the consequences of their experiments.
I had a baby recently. Of course I had to stop everything before I could even dream of conceiving. I left 6 months between my last Fin intake and before I actually got pregnant. I also had blood tests to ensure that I had nothing blocking T or DHT in my system. But I can tell you, from the amount of hair I was loosing, from the oil oozing out of my face and the pimples on my face after 3 months, I knew that there couldn’t be much in my system left. I waited until I had fully weaned my son off before I even thought about re-starting my regime. But at 6month of ages he was on bottles and I was back on track.
Hope this helps. Any info you need, just let me know.
