How to get a perscription? (Propecia, Finasteride for Women)

Seems like a very silly question. Currently I'm on spiro 75mg for acne give to me by a dermatologist and was happy to get it knowing it might help with my thinning. I loose easily 100 hairs in the shower alone.
I want to try something to stop my shed or at least help with regrowth that now my scalp is exposed and no matter how I part my hair I look like I'm trying to hide the fact that I have thinning hair. I'm only 27 now and feel like I'll be bald on top, in addition to the growing bald spot I have already, in a year.
My question is, how do I go about getting propecia or finasteride for women as it seems it is only for men.
I live in toronto and any advice or even a doctor referal would be great!
