ť [image] I have been having chronic TE for 2 years now. After many many doctors, and a biopsy, no real answers. Biopsy said some perivascular inflamation common with TE. In winter my loss slows down a lot, but never stopped. Then is spring, it picks up and went all through to fall last year. This year, again started in April and by May was worse then ever and is still real bad. Why does is subside in winter and come on strong in spring,summer fall? Sometimes accompanied by red scalp, inflamation, itching, crawly, burning scalp. This is when I have heavy loss and now has been going on for 6 weeks straight . Sometime a little dandruff. Scalp is always dry. Doctor said use olive oil. Did that and it was a huge disaster. Was using steroids for flare ups of inflamation, worked first year, but now seems to make it worse . I use ketakonazol, and other dandruff shampoos but also seems to irritate my scalp more?I try to use natural shampoo when I can. I have had extensive testing and doctors say all looks normal. I do not have any stress except for the hair loss. How can this be getting worse? Can the anti androgen meds help with chronic TE? The chronic TE is bad enough, but these acute heavy hair loss bouts are so depressing. Has anyone else experienced big losses in summer etc? I'm told the itching burn etc are from A.a. but my doctor said I do not have A.A. Would AA show up definetly in a biopsy?Pleae email at kayjai@aol.com if you have any helpfull words.
