Diane + extra CA....How long to take effect ? (Cyproterone Acetate (Diane35))

Salis you give very little detail and you ask how long it takes to take effect. What effect are you talking about? For the purpose of answering I will assume hair loss. You also don’t say how much CA you are taking! You will start seeing the effect of CA in about 2 or 3 weeks, but CA will not be at its maximum body concentration (effect) until about 1.5 month. This is because CA is very lypophilic and has an accumulation factor of about 3 in the body. It is a very good androgen blocker. Coupled with Diane, you must give this medication at least 2 to 4 months to see if it will do your hair any good. The initial drop in testosterone will indeed slow down or stop hair loss, but the test is 2 to 4 months after when the hair follicles resume normal shed patterns. What will happen will depend on the type of hair loss you have. Be patient. If you see hair loss getting worse right away after starting CA, I would guess you’re too low in free-androgens, and taking CA is only making things worse! If you have an excess of androgens, then CA will likely help, however it must be taken in appropriate dosages. Too little or too much can be harmful to both your body’s health and scalp hair. The standard approach is for a gradual increase.
