G'day. I began taking effexor and within days was experiencing a strange sensation in my scalp. From there, clumps of hair started coming out. I thought it must be unrelated to the antidepressant because it was not a listed side effect - so I continued.

When i ceased taking the drug, my hair started to return - albeit finely. I find it amazing that the makers of effexor do not STATE this as a legitimate side effect, considering the large numbers of people experiencing hair loss!! :-(
