To all Londoners info re recommended professionals (Doctors & Dermatologists)
Salis, that's really disappointing. I don't think he will say my hair is normal. It doesn't look too bad if I wear it loose, but if I were to tie it back in a pony tail, you can see my scalp at the sides, how I've receded, and I'm thin at the temples. My parting isn't getting any wider, but you can see my scalp at the widow's peak area, especially under a light. It's literally looking stringier with each wash, I am going out of my mind. Think I'll need anti depressants soon. I wake in the middle of the night in cold sweats, my heart thumping. Dreading the day I can't leave the house; feel like shaving the bloody lot of and getting a nice wig! At least then my hair couldn't control me. It's ruining my life, and my family's.
You'd have thought someone would have some answers for you by now, Salis. You've surely seen all the cream of the specialists; if they can't help, who can? I was pinning all of my hopes on Dr Rushton. I'm beginning to think we're all being given the run around; everyone is making a tidy penny out of women's hair loss misery. Has anyone on these boards heard of ANY woman regrowing hair with genetic hair loss, because I haven't. I've heard of women regrowing hair with thyroid problems, PCOS, or low ferritin. But that's it. Are we just making ourselves miserable chasing a holy grail that doesn't exist? Having said that, surely there ARE answers and treatments out there; when was the last time you saw a female celebrity with AGA? Surely it's not that rare?
