Hair Suddenly Coming Out in Handfuls (Support Forum & Misc Topics)

I've had HL off & on for the last 5 yrs. Just when you think it is never coming back again it does. Sure enought 5 weeks ago has come back w/a vengence. just the last few days have been the worse ever experienced coming out in handfuls & I feel sick to my stomach w/anxiety. 5 yrs. ago HL was due to hypothyroid but leveled off after being on meds for year+. Now dr. says probably due to hormones fluctuating...i'm 44 and perimenopausal. Have not had normal cycles for last year & half, no period for last 2 months. I know stress just aggravates the situation & I have that on job & in my personal life (recently divorced) Anyway I'm feeling extremely down...if I had chemo (thank god I didn't) but at least I would understand why the hair is coming out all of a sudden in bunches...has never happpened like this before. Has anyone had a similar experience to mine or can relate? Any words of comfort would be appreciated :-)
