Aubrey and Jason (Hair & Scalp Odor Problem)

posted by Betsy, 07.11.2006, 18:39

Miz Bea, I'm glad you are finding relief from the Jason's Dandruff. I love the stuff. It does soothe burning scalp. At first, after getting off the Jason's Dandruff and onto the Jason's Jojoba, I noticed an oily smell at the end of the day. But that was just fine by me after the yeasty, bacterial smell. It seemed to subside after a bit but it helped me to switch back and forth with the Aubrey Organics and Jason Jojoba, using the Jason Dandruff once a week. And certain shampoos did leave my scalp burning a bit a few hours after using. I bought some Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose and I must say the Island Naturals left my scalp a little better. I also bought the Aubrey Calaguala Fern Shampoo on their recommendation ( I finally heard back from them after emailing them 1-1/2 - 2 months ago!) I like the Calaguala Fern a lot and it cleans the scalp really well. They recommended using the Primrose and Lavender and alternating it with the Calaguala Fern. I wasn't able to find the Primrose and Lavender yet. When I do I intend to buy that as well. I am learning that it takes a really long time to heal our hair follicles. As long as I don't get that rancid smell I'm fine. And the burning just shows me that a certain shampoo has something in it my scalp doesn't like. Keep posting as I love having someone else to sound off with! I'm so thankful for this forum and having others to compare shampoos with! :-)
