BETSY! YOU'RE MY TWIN!(Aubrey and Jason) (Hair & Scalp Odor Problem)

posted by Miz Bea, 13.11.2006, 08:01

Betsy!.... I have had the same experiences as you! Yes... The JASON'S Jojoba shampoo or conditioner did indeed produce a heavy oily smell later. And yes... my Derm did say that this condition is very lingering and persistant, and that it will take some time to get results, and one will need to use medicated shampoos off and on thereafter. I have used Aubrey GBP and Camilla shampoos with no problem. I called the JASON people and they gave me 'permission' to mix a little of their Aloe Vera shampoo in with the JASON's Dandruff (to cut the sulfur odor and add soothingness). However, I found that both this shampoo and the conditioner left me with a 'fresh wet sweat' odor afterwards. In order to avoid the stale potato chip bag odor, I use the Jojoba shampoo before the JASON'S Dandruff. I use the Jojoba conditioner on my dry hair before shampooing (a suggestion found on the back of Aubrey's GPB conditioner) to get conditioning without that stale oil smell. Also, I had used Home Health Scalp Treatment #1 (pre-shampoo) to lift sebum follicle plugs and cleanse away coatings, but later that day my scalp was on fire!! Must we watch every chemical that passes over our scalps from now to eternity?? And had you noticed that there is an increase in dandruff shampoos (with price hikes) on the counters now? I remember when you could hardly even find JASON'S Dandruff anywhere and now it's very accessible!! I think many more people are coming down with this. My nephew told me he has to always use Head and Shoulders. I wonder how long it will be before his scalp starts to fight back..... Yes. Our scalps are twins!:-D Thanks for keeping me informed!.... No matter what.... let's keep trying and hoping. (Hope you get this. This is the 2nd attempt.) --Miz Bea
