can diet cause 1 1/2 years of on going hair loss?? Heather (Diet & Hair Loss)

yes, i did last Feb 2006 they were at 40 i took iron and as of april of 2006 at 86. They say that ferritin doesn't play a huge role in hair growth. haven't had them tested since have been off of everything since dec of 2006 just needed to stop for a while, but it is not getting better, i don't know what else to do or who to see.
