another question, nomoresheds... (Scalp Pain, Tight Scalp)

What steroid did you take, and was it strictly for your scalp pain? Also, where can those shampoos you mentioned be purchased, are they prescription? Maybe I will ask my doctor about an anti-inflammatory. It just seems weird that it has been inflamed for this long (since October). Sometimes it doesn't bother me very much, but my scalp will still look a little pinkish and will feel hot if I press down on it. Still, it has improved a great amount since December. I'll see what my doctor says about that.

My shedding seemed to stop suddenly in January - after bad shedding September-December. I had a TE trigger in August. I also would shed during that time throughout the day and during comb-outs and washing. But then at the end of December I went off the pill and braced myself for another TE to strike in a couple of months. In February/March I had a big increase in shedding while washing - but still none during the day. And now that seems to have ended (only lasting a few weeks). I hope that is the last of my TEs! So now I lose about 10-15(?) hairs while showering for the past week or so, which is what it was in January, and still lose only the occasional hair during the day and some during comb-out, which I think is normal for me. I hope my shedding stays down now, and I hope that yours stops! Maybe now that your scalp is feeling better it will improve your shedding.
