another question, nomoresheds... (Scalp Pain, Tight Scalp)

ť What steroid did you take, and was it strictly for your scalp pain? Also,
ť where can those shampoos you mentioned be purchased, are they
ť prescription? Maybe I will ask my doctor about an anti-inflammatory. It
ť just seems weird that it has been inflamed for this long (since October).
ť Sometimes it doesn't bother me very much, but my scalp will still look a
ť little pinkish and will feel hot if I press down on it. Still, it has
ť improved a great amount since December. I'll see what my doctor says
ť about that.

ť My shedding seemed to stop suddenly in January - after bad shedding
ť September-December. I had a TE trigger in August. I also would shed
ť during that time throughout the day and during comb-outs and washing. But
ť then at the end of December I went off the pill and braced myself for
ť another TE to strike in a couple of months. In February/March I had a big
ť increase in shedding while washing - but still none during the day. And
ť now that seems to have ended (only lasting a few weeks). I hope that is
ť the last of my TEs! So now I lose about 10-15(?) hairs while showering
ť for the past week or so, which is what it was in January, and still lose
ť only the occasional hair during the day and some during comb-out, which I
ť think is normal for me. I hope my shedding stays down now, and I hope
ť that yours stops! Maybe now that your scalp is feeling better it will
ť improve your shedding.

I wasn't on the steriod for my hair, I was using a strong steriod and antibiotic for another reason but perhaps the two resulted in no more scalp pain. Now my scalp feels great so who knows. I don't remember the steroids name...it wasn't prednisone. It was pretty strong though.
