There is a fantastic website where you can actually ask one of the world's top colorists (Ian Gavet) anything you want to know about safe haircoloring - Ian has a product (only pure safe ingredients) called ADF (Art Director Formula) which was actually created as a subtle way to gradually blend away grey hair but it turned out to be fantastic to very, very safely get rid of unwanted red or orange tones - this is what I use it for - it's called oxidization when you normally have brown or dark brown hair and suddenly you look like a redhead!
