DEAR DR. GHO
SECOND DRAFT

<Return to HM Core Forums>

October 23, 2000

Thank you everyone for giving us your comments on the first draft. This is the second draft. You still have another week to put forth your comments in case we left out any suggestions by mistake. The final letter will be sent to Dr. Gho October 30th.

Please give us your comments at the

<THE LETTER>
DRAFT

Dear Dr. Gho:

I hope this letter finds you well.

First of all, on behalf of everyone who comes to HairSite, I would like to commend you for pioneering the Hair Multiplication procedure. While Hair Multiplication may or may not be the answer that we have been hoping for, this is truly inspirational to everyone suffering from hair loss. Your research is definitely the impetus we need to uproot the existing complacency in the hair transplant industry. Words cannot express our gratitude to your efforts and research in this area.

This is a follow up letter to our previous correspondence back in July. The Hair Multiplication forum participants have been extremely cooperative and agreed to put forth their questions in an orderly fashioned. I have taken the liberty to present you our concerted efforts - a list of questions about the Hair Multiplication procedure.

Please forgive me for being so bold as to impose a list of queries on your research. Many of our forum participants have put off hair transplant and hair replacement procedures for years pending the outcome of your research. Any info that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Last but not least, I would like to mention that volunteers from our forum participants have started a non-profit project. This project aims to educate the public about the very latest in hair loss treatments. Needless to say, your Hair Multiplication procedure claims the spotlight of this non-profit project. While we are still in the early stages of this non-profit project, you can see some of our work at http://www.hairsite.com/campaign.htm.

As I said before in our previous correspondence, please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you with your research. We do have a group of very dedicated volunteers who would spare no efforts in expediting the process.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Technical questions:

4. What hair quality can we expect ? Same as our normal growing hair ?

7. Will the new hair be permanent ?
8. Can HM create new follicles in donor area scars that resulted from traditional hair transplantation ?
9. What kind of density can be achieved, in hairs/cm2 ? Can a second HM procedure give a greater density ?
10. Can HM be used to increase density in hair transplant patients ?

Limitations & Side Effects

12. What are some of the potential side effects ? Cancer risks, tumors, and hair fallout etc ?
13. Will the HM procedure produce scarring ?

Timing

14. How long does it before the new hair follicles start to grow from the time when we first visit your clinic ?
15. How many visits to your clinic would be needed to apply HM for someone who is a Norwood class 7 ?
16. Can the follicle harvesting be done here in the US by an accredited lab and the follicles shipped to Holland for culturing, thus eliminating the need for two separate trips?
