HairSite had a Facelift ! This is the fourth major overhaul since our debut in 1997, and our new look is more than skin-deep this time. As a start, we have streamlined our homepage to make it easier for you to navigate. In the months to come, we will overhaul the auxillary pages to give our readers the same consistent look and feel throughout the site. This is a tall order considering that we have now grown to a size of over 3,000 pages. So be patient with us while we are going through this change. More importantly, we have spruced up our contents substantially this time. While we are working around the clock to give the site a cosmetic make over for the new millennium, we have also stepped up our editorial contributions. In fact, editorial contents still remain HairSite's core focus and we are in no position to compromise our contents for some fancy graphics and artwork. We believe that our readers frequent HairSite for its editorial coverage, product reviews, treatment information and the like. Offering our readers useful and practical information on hair care and hair treatment is still our top priority. Simply put, people don't come to our site to see glitzy pictures. They want help. Contents, Contents, Contents - that's what we have in the pipelines. Access Features in our homepage and you will find the very latests in hair care and hair treatment news right in front of you, neatly categorized according to the various disciplines in our Site Index. And do not worry if you happen to miss some of our Feature stories. All feature stories are also archived in Headline News in chronological order so you can always go back to an earlier coverage at your leisure. Be prepared to see our Site Index expanding rapidly this year. We have many exciting categories scheduled to debut this year - all about HAIR for men and women. Our innovative Live Help (real time online assistance) has proven to be extremely popular among visitors to HairSite. We have now stepped up our manpower to ensure that online waiting time is reduced to no more than 5 minutes in most cases. Immediate gratification is what we strive to offer here. Our visitors no longer have to email us their queries and wait for our replies. Everyone from all over the world can get immediate feedbacks through our Live Help program. We have acknowledged your complaints about our Search Form. We have finally found a new module that can accomodate the size of our database. The new Search Module had already been installed. Now your search experience will be instantaneous with additional info such as date stamp and file size etc. There will be no more delays. And of course, this won't be complete without mentioning our Discussion Groups, still the best organized in the world and going strong with close to 300 topics. Our policy is now firmly in place to rid of all posts and comments that are irrelevant, counter-productive or defamatory in nature. Companies which use our Discussion Groups as a springboard for their marketing scheme will be censored and blacklisted under Consumer Alert in our Site Index. In addition, we do not tolerate posts that contain vulgar and obscene languages as well as defamatory or accusatory statements against a particular product. At the same time, HairSite will continue to monitor the progress of each forum. New space will be promptly added for existing ones that are full. Summary page for existing forums will also be created regularly to assist newcomers in navigating the topic. The above are just a glimpse of what we have in the pipelines.
