Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your patience. As reported on 6/1/00, our discussion groups and webpages have been expanding very rapidly and we were AT capacity with our server then. For a little over a week, our site has been available for VIEW only. Most of the interactive features and our discussion groups in particular were down during that time.

We are very pleased to announce that we had successfully made the transition to a newer and more powerful server effective this morning 6/7/00. With the exception of a few minor glitches, this is pretty much a seamless transition for all our readers and visitors. The interface, feel and look of HairSite remains exactly the same. But behind that familiar interface is a powerful server that can accomodate many times more traffic than before. Believe it or not, we had worked very hard to make possible this seamless transition.

Since this morning, we have tested and re-tested our discussion groups for glitches and technical difficulties. We are extremely pleased to report that the discussion groups are no longer prone to posting errors and glitches. We have posted over 50 messages and have not received one single error message. While this is encouraging, we are by no means 100% clear of all glitches. Should you encounter any problems in our discussion groups, please report to us immediately at HairSite@aol.com

We have evaluated a dozen or so discussion group softwares in the market. At this point, we have not found one that perfectly meets our needs. While the existing discussion group platform in HairSite has its shortcomings, we feel that it is by far the easiet to follow and manage. If anyone knows of a superior platform for hosting our discussion groups, please contact us. This is a top priority in our agenda and we will spare no efforts in providing the best community experience for our readers. Please email HairSite@aol.com if you have any recommendations.

We are all very relieved that we can regroup ourselves and focus once again on providing the best weekly updates on haircare for our readers.
