Researchers have singled out a gene that is believed to be
related to hair growth.
The gene, if dysfunctional, will cause faulty sweat glands,
missing teeth and baldness. According to the international research team involved in the
study, the gene definitely affects human hair follicles.
The findings are detailed in the Journal of Nature Genetics,
August 1996.
