| It has been more than six months since
we discussed Azelaic Acid being the most potent anti-DHT agent in the market (when used in
conjunction with a zinc-B6 topical lotion). Our readers are simply fascinated by this
product and have been flooding us with inquiries ever since. With a claim of up to 98%
reduction in DHT as substantiated by the British Journal of Dermatology and a price tag of
about US $25 for two months' supply (Skinoren), it is no surprise that people are
responding so feverishly to this product. But this is just the beginning. Doctors and hair loss specialists are now scrambling to introduce their own versions of Azelaic Acid based topical products for hair loss. Very soon, we will have other choices of Azelaic Acid based products besides Skinoren cream. And of course, HairSite will be the first to announce any new Azelaic Acid formulas. Now the frustrating part is that while we have been flooeded with inquiries about Azelaic Acid & Crinagen combo treatment, we have received close to nothing in terms of testimonials and feedback. Our Discussion Group for Azelaic Acid is almost empty. Since nobody would like to come forward and keep us informed of his or her progress with Azelaic Acid treatment, I will give you another update of my progress. I have been using Skinoren Azelaic acid cream together with Crinagen for almost six months now. I am seeing good results along the hairline and a bald spot that I have on the crown. When I say good results, I am talking about noticeable hair growth, not peach fuzz or fine hair. The only problem is that my scalp inflammation problems are also returning to haunt me. I have been getting a lot of crusts and flakes at the top of my scalp and incidentally, that is the same area that is not responding to Azelaic Acid-Crinagen treatment. At this point, I am trying to stabilize the conditions with Dermovate topical lotions. I had the same problem before and Dermovate worked very well to control inflammatory hair loss. I have been back on Dermovate for about one week now, hair loss has been stabilized to about 50hairs a day from 90 - 100 hairs a day before. For my case, 50 hairs is still excessive since I know I am capable of losing just about 20 - 30 hairs a day. I will continue with Dermovate for two more weeks until hair count is back to normal. I believe that Azelaic Acid-Crinagen treatment can't really have any effect until I eliminate the scalp inflammation conditions. I really hope that more people will come forward and share with us his or her progress with Azelaic Acid treatment. You can post your comments in our Discussion Group.
