Finalists were nominated from over 4500 South Florida manufacturing companies based on criteria including the incorporation of the latest technology, theories, and ideas in manufacturing. Lexington International was nominated by the United States Department of Commerce which also honored the company with it's "Commercial and Export Achievement" award in 2002. As the manufacturer and developer of the HairMax LaserComb, an exciting new Laser PhotoTherapy device for thicker, healthier hair, Lexington has sought out new and innovative ways to provide a quality product at an affordable price. By working closely with local firms, Lexington has been able to keep this important manufacturing function here in the United States.
