In what is being described as one of the most important contributions
in the field of cosmetics in decades, Kerasome announced the release a
new product called Kerasome Real Hair Powder as part of a two part
hair thickening system.
(PRWEB) August 19, 2005 -- The basis of the entire Kerasome system is
that the products are made from real human hair; hair that was
previously destined for wigs and toupees. Through a patent-pending
technique, this hair is sterilized and ground into a fine powder. This
powder is then mixed into a light lotion to make the Kerasome Hair
Building Solution and is also supplied as the powder itself (the
Kerasome Real Hair Powder). It is the use of real human hair that
distinguishes Kerasome products from other cosmetic thickeners on the
market (e.g. Toppik, Couvre, Fullmore, etc.). These other products are
either made of ground wool, spray on pigments, or scalp makeup.
According to Sanford Schnoll M.D., the inventor of Kerasome, "No
other cosmetic hair thickener can provide the truly natural look of
real human hair." Kerasome is not merely another
"keratin" product as many people think, it is real human
hair. Toppik claims to be real "hairs" (using the
parentheses in their claims) but they are made of sheep hair (wool)
not real human hair. While it is true sheep hair and human hair are
both made of mostly of keratin, they are made of different types of
keratin. In addition, there are thousands of other molecules in hair
(and wool) other than keratin. Many of these molecules are very
different and play a vital role in the properties of the hair."
Doctor Schnoll continued by saying, "claiming that wool and human
hair are the same because they are both made of keratin is like saying
that sheep and humans are the same because we are both made mostly of
water. If human hair and sheep hair were made of the same exact thing
then they would be indistinguishable. Clearly human hair and wool are
different."
Kerasome is real hair, and therefore it has the same textural
qualities, natural color variations and sheen that is associated with
one's own hair. It is for this reason that Kerasome blends in
seamlessly and is undetectable, even by the person wearing it. It is
also for this reason that Kerasome can get wet and be used with any
hair styling products something that is not recommended with the
competing products.
With the release of Kerasome Real Hair Powder, Kerasome is also
releasing a new and improved formulation of Kerasome Hair Building
Solution. This formulation works on all hair types and is in a light
cosmetically elegant lotion. By using the products individually or in
