I only read the report quickly, but I wish it made distinctly clear how well it worked on men and on women as separate groups.
I am a little worried that the two sets of photos shown are of women.
If it works as well on men, it's not perfect but the best yet (and the quickest, too) of any test treatment I've seen so far.

Well done Histogen, well done. Hmmm maybe they really figured it out in ways of not just getting pot luck but rather get it done reall good.
And i have to say i give them kudos for this even as a Gho supporter. If they can keep this, well i guess we have something good here

Yeah what about photos for guys? The photos only show small improvement, honestly they are not that much better than some PRP or Acell photos we saw from Hitzig.
One good thing is that Histogen includes the hair count.

Originally I was thinking of getting HT this year, either Gho or regular FUE. Well the year went by so fast, we are almost half way through 2012 already. I have decided not to do anything till 2013.
Gho does sound intriguing, I am impressed how little bad publicity or complaints there are about his HST, if his price is a bit cheaper I will seriously consider going to Gho.
Anyway, I am willing to wait one more year before I decide, let's hope this will be an exciting year.

I am not impressed with the pics and I don't understand why they only show a woman's before and after pics. It doesn't make sense; you would think that for a press release like this, they wanted to show the absolute best scenario, does this mean that this is the best among all the test subjects?

Its not really a press release, it was what they showed at SID.
In their pilot, they had an average increased hair count of 20% across all paitents +- 4% @ 3 months.
Here it looks like they are going to smash that 20% average. We are still waiting on word from Dr Z or anyone else at this 3 month period. And dont forget that if like the pilot the results dramatically improve after one year, we really are looking at the end of fin, minox and other drugs. HSC is something they can mass produce, and there is barely any downtime.
In terms of the photos, it does seem that shiney bald scalps will not benefit from HSC. I hope I'm wrong, because in 2 or 3 years, i will be shiney bald in some areas at least.
What Histogen have not included in this SID pdf, is the average hair count increase across all patients. Thats something they did tell us in their pilot, so I hope we will get more info on that soon.
Plus more info on whether HSC is doing anything for sleeping follicles.
This is bigger news for younger people who are thinning or receeding.
One exciting aspect is HSC together with transplants. If HSC is boosting hair growth (unlike anything else we have ever seen at 3 months!), maybe it can ensure a near 100% yield in transplants?
Maybe gho might use it to get 100% donor regeneration?
Who knows.....
People will winge about the lack of specific info, but be patient, this is only 3 months into it....

I am the one who has been doing the positive raving about Histogen and it is very nice to see that you are all starting to get onto the histogen bandwagon with me. They are turning the clock back with these growth factors and that is very helpful. They are turning the clock back to a time before the hairs were vulnerable to DHT.
I think Histogen is something we can count on and I think that bimatoprost will likely be superior to either minoxidil or finasteride, and it will probably be better than both (minoxidil and finasteride) combined.

Check out the excerpt below. It demonstrates a point that I have been trying to make for awhile that this stuff will be better with repeat injections. I was right.
Histogen: "Phase I/II shows 46.5% greater increase in total hair count as compared to the Pilot HSC clinical trial at 12 weeks. Results indicate improved efficacy with additional injections; 4 at baseline in pilot trial as compared to 8 at baseline and repeat dose at 6 weeks in Phase I/II."

I'd somewhat lost hope in histogen in light of their clinical trials never seeming to get anywhere; these positive results may just be enough to get me back on the bandwagon. However, before I get my hopes up I'm still awaiting IM's inevitable spiel on why these results are bull****. Granted, I'd imagine it'd be harder to write them off this time given that they aren't relegated solely to macrophotographic images.
And jarjar - you weren't the first person to suggest histogen could be compounded. You weren't the hundredth. Hell, gail naughton mentioned repeated injections in one of her interviews from years ago. Stop trying to make yourself feel vindicated.

I didn't hear her say it. Everyone here knows that I am the poster who has been saying that this is the sort of situation where one could get better results with repeat injections. I had a scientific basis for it that nobody else even thought of - the body continually infuses follicles with healthy growh factors so it would be best for Histogen to use repeat injections too. My own theory, complete with a basis.
Now stfu because I do feel vindicated and I am vindicated and everyone here knows I have been pushing repeat injections with histogen as the cure for hair loss and now it's prove I was right and you are sour grapes all over your face.

Advice for patients: If you are considering a hair transplant, only consider Gho's HST and nothing else. First HT treatment in the world that offers: zero scarring, small downtime and donor regrowth.

lol jarjar what you suggested is not rocket science.. i think everyone thought of the option that repeated doses might have a positive effect. There's nothing brilliant about that.

No man let him enjoy his scientific prediction.
And the nobel prize for his discovery on how to improve the efficacy of pharmaceuticals for any disease goes to:
Jarjanbix from hairsite and his theory:

Yea excecpt:
1. My posit came complete with a basis.
2. Almost everyone disagreed with me or at least partially disagreed with me or said I was jumping the gun.
Other posters would tell me that one injection is good for a year or more so this proves I am wrong, but I don't think it matters that one injection lasts a year because that doesn't change the fact that multiple injections would still work better because you would be feeding the hair-bearing environment healthy growth factors repeatedly just like the body does.
What is your problem? You have some kind of jarjar hangup. I was right and it's proven now. But you don't want to admit to it because we have argued in the past. I guess you aren't man much. Most men would just agree that I was right and let it go. But you just can't handle it that I'm right. Shape up, boy!
Take a cue from moawk. Look at the Moawk example. Look how he smartly and manly he steps up and just says gives me my due that I was right about Histogen and repeate injections. It makes him seem smarter too for simply acknowledging I was right. But you on the other hand just make yourself look stupider and stupider because even when I'm obviously you right you still don't just say so and be done with it. You still want to argue and try to downplay just how right I was.
Listen here. Almost nobody agreed with me. Even the few who did agree with me somewhat had their doubts. I was right about both Histogen and repeat injections. Period.
And I am right that we should be forming a group to try to persuade Histogen to release this technology early in one place in the world where it would be legal for them to do so. There is no real reason for them not to because it won't harm their company or them or their ambitions with the FDA.
I am right about this: Histogen could release it early in a country where it is legal to do so without harming its' position with the FDA and other regulatory bodies throughout the world. As long as they only release it in that one country that allows for them to release it, the FDA won't mind and neither will the FDA-like agencies of other countries. The FDA, and other country's FDA-like agencies will only get concerned if Histogen starts releasing it early in countries that prohibit that sort of thing.

Hahahaha. LMAO!
But not necessarily. More is not always better. Histogen is a case where more is better, to a certain degree, because that is what the body does...the body continually infuses the hair-bearing environment with new healthy growth factors and that works so that is what Histogen should try to mimic. I am thinking injections once a week or every two weeks for a prescribed amount of time, say 2 months. You want the injections to heal between intervals so I would say every 9 days for 54 days should do it.

The fact that greater dose yielded better results is encouraging. If I read the diagram under "Increased Dose Results Improved Growth at 12 Weeks" right, the currented study yielded 10% increase in hair count. Not a pathetic 3%, but still far from great.

1. But we are talking about 12 weeks.
2. I am talking about injections every 10 days for 2 months = 6 times, not just two times.
