remember it's republicans who R out to get gays... (Off Topic) |
open the link below to see the two-faced nature of republican party...they want to persecute gays, and they are against gays, but it is all a big phoney two-faced nonesense because many of these goons are gay themselves. And that shows what cowards they are. At least democrat gays have the courage to come out into the open and take their chances.

You mean like New Jersey governor James McGreevey coming out as gay when he was called out?

People seem to forget that Republicans were once liberal socially until 1964. That's when the conservatives in the party took over and turned the party into a bastion of intolerance.
There are Republicans that do support gays and lesbians, but they are called RINOS because they don't fit in with the majority.
Someone obviously sees stereotypes as reality.

What happened in '64 to make the Republican party less tolerant of gays and the Democrats more embracing? You kind of lost me there.

When you say "support" what exactly are you inferring here? Does that mean $$$, quotas or what?
»

And lastly let me preface something. Its not the stereotyping that bothers me so much as the blatant hypocrisy going around here.

It is the majority of any party that sets the agenda of that party. So while there are a minority of members that disagree with their own republican party, they have no clout within their own party. As a matter of fact, by staying in the republican party the more tolerant republicans are de facto endorsing/supporting the intolerant agenda of the conservatives of their party. After all, if the tolerant republicans cared enough about their principle of tolerance then they would leave the republican party, join the democratic party, and then the intolerant conservatives would not win elections anymore and their intolerant agenda would disappear. The RINOS keep the intolerant conservative agenda alive and well by staying with the republican party. So the intolerant conservative agenda is acceptable enough to the RINOS because the RINOS could put a stop to the intolerant conservative agenda anytime they want to by simply parting company with the republican party and joining the more tolerant democrats. obviously tolerance is not an important enough issues to the RINOS for the RINOS to defend it, and obviously the RINOS find intolerance acceptable enough to let it continue. We have the reality of intolerance going on in real life because the RINOS don't care enough to do what it takes to stop it.
Thanks RINOS. Your failure to stand up for what is right is duly noted. You know that tolerance is the right and proper path but you just don't care enough to make a principled stand and support tolerance. Instead you support the party that is intolerant. Wow! Aren't RINOS special. They're the failed difference-makers because they are failing to make the difference that they know is the right, important, and achievable difference that they can, and should, make.

Here's an example: How come there are no African-Americans or Asian-Americans as Republicans in Congress? Why do women vote Democrat more than Republican? Just read history and it makes sense.

dems tailor their message to women and minorities
they are for abortion, while republicans are anti abortion...............of course you cant say you are pro abortion, so they whitewash it and say they are PRO CHOICE, I am anti abortion, i think its murder,
they are for universal health care, and all kinds of govt giveaways that help women, so thus more women are dems
also repubs tend to be Hawks, and tend to go to war more easily, which dems and moms oppose, I consider myself a repub but, i hate bush and the war

Exactly, you get it. I think Republicans should be fighting for those votes also or they will die.
