2533 FUE Post Op Healing 0-3 Dr Bisanga BHR Clinic (Hair Transplant) |
Dear Forum Members,
This is a presentation of 0 to date (3 months) 2533 FUE; the patient wanted to frame the face but keep a mature hairline and no temple closure.
The pictures below are a collage from before, design, post op, 2 weeks post op healing and then 2 and 3 months post op. I will post updates as and when.
You can see the donor healing and how his hair can be kept short/shaved using a 0.75mm extraction. FUE is basically the individual removal of an intact follicular unit.

I am surprised the donor is still red after two months. It's not bad, it's actually quite good, it's just that I thought the redness would go away after two months.

Sometimes redness lingers for more than two months. What is worth noting here is that at two months, we see a prelude to the what I can say with confidence that there will be minimal scarring and no noticeable depletion overall in any one area. Dr. Bisanga likes to adhere to the 0.75mm punch and this is yet another good early result using such tools. The recipient area also looks natural. Good over all representation of solid FUE and the use of small punches.

I would say that the redness in my recipient area lasted about 1 month but the scar was red for much longer than that, i think its pretty normal.

Hi JeepGuy,
Just to check, do you mean donor or recipient is still red on the 2 months post op pics? I did check with the patient and he said there was little to no redness in the donor after about ten days. When he took the 2 months pictures he had just shaved his hair so if you see any redness it maybe due to the clippers over the scalp.
Redness in the donor after FUT will last much longer than with FUE, the effect of a long continuous incision takes longer to heal and the scalp return to normal pigmentation opposed to FUE punches that are small and widely spread over the surface of the donor. There are also post op meds that can be used to aid the healing and close the punch wounds.

» BHR, Whats the density of grafts in the hairline and behind the hairline?
Hi carrot,
Here is this patient's 4th month update pictures; also for the record the break down of hairs per FU
1 hair 603, 2 hair 981, 3 hair 892, 4 hair 57
The density of FU placed will be dependent on hair calibre as much as anything else; the hair is made of single hairs so will always have a higher density of FU placed otherwise it will look unnaturally thin; behind the hair line the density placed decreases as the number of hairs per FU increases, this patient had a good number of 3 hair FU and this also helped to give good coverage for the number of grafts. Generally hair lines could require 65-80 FUcm2 and then dropping behind.

Hi BALDIE42,
Our patient is 37 years old had no wish to have an aggressive low hair line, he appreciated that his hair loss would progress and wanted a conservative approach to the design, to save grafts for the long term.
His original density was 85 FU with a good donor surface area for FUE, and combined with his goals and expectations a good h/t candidate generally. He has started finasteride and is happy to give it a little time to see how much benefit it gives the hair behind the h/t; but his view is he will return after a year and look at increasing the coverage.
Cost, 4.50 euros per graft, approximately 3.14 Sterling

Hello,
Forget about HM, I have been sitting and waiting since 2001... probably our children will be much more lucky and by that time the tecnique would be so advanced and tested that hair loss will be a choice not an imposition.
For now guys, believe me a HT is our only salvation.

» Very good.
It is a very good result but I have some reserves on this case. First of all the Before picture is a bit misleading. I think this guy had a lot of resident hair before the operation.
Secondly, I am beginning to grow tired and a bit suspiciuos of BHR tendency to post always the same results. I'll explain myself.... The BHR clinic results are generally speaking very good. In most cases they rank among the best. However, it seems to me that the clinic and Bisanga himself would benefit a great deal if he/they started showing new results and not the same 20/30 well documented HTs that are present in their website.
Don't get me wrong. The work of Bisanga is amazing. Him and Dr Hasson and Wong are reallly top notch. However, I would appreciate a little bit more variety and transparency when showcasing Ht results.
I think that a very important step in this direction has been taken by Hasson and Wong. The quality, variety and overall transparency of their videos and general documentation is really impressive.
I wish every clinic would follow the same route.

2533 FUE 7 Months Updated Pictures |
Hi MrHappy
It was an FUE procedure carried out over two consecutive days; here are two pictures of the donor extraction post op; earlier in the thread there are pictures the patient took of donor healing over the weeks and months
![[image]](http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t23/BHRClinic/2533%20FUE/P1010322.jpg)
![[image]](http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t23/BHRClinic/2533%20FUE/P1010323.jpg)
Hi Piperz
I have attached below three pictures larger than the ones earlier in this thread; one before the surgery, one with the design area mapped out and shaved frontal area and lastly after the placement. It is visible that the frontal area whilst had resident hair was very sparse with no great definition and poor hair calibre and some may argue would make little difference if it was there or not. It is also visible that the further back his hair quality improves in density and hair calibre in the recipient; from the post op placement picture you can see the density of placement alter from the hair line to the back where his original hair is stronger. The surface area covered was slightly more than we would normally cover and much of that was helped by the conservative hair line design as well as good hair characteristics and the patient himself looking to the future and donor management.

I agree with you totally that transparency is important and generally pictures and videos footage needs to improve to ensure the full story is told; anything that drives clinics to improve the education and understanding of a hair transplant is very important for the image and standard of the industry and most importantly you.
I did a quick look at what I'd posted here and four patient cases posted are from our website; the other five patient cases posted you may have seen elsewhere but not on our website; 5928 & 5019 Strip, 3500 Strip Repair, this case and another FUE; 1495; there was another but I did not post that, 1465 FUE; may have missed others apologies if I have.
A possible reason you are familiar with this is I try when possible to post progressive pictures of the evolution of the hair transplant result and not only “before & after” shots; therefore you are seeing updated pictures on the thread; from pre and post op; then the evolution over the months.... case in point this patient when I originally opened the thread he was at 3 months and now at 7 months. Our feeling was by displaying a case this way it would show transparency, with immediately post op donors and progressive healing.
All comments are always welcome because at the if we can change and improve the way we inform then it can only be good for you guys; and that is what it is all about at the end of the day and I assure that you will see more new cases in the coming weeks and months.
