nizoral cream update (All Topicals & Shampoos)

ok i think im about 2 months or so.What it looks like to me is thickening in thin areas making them less noticable as well as darkening of thin areas. No noticable "new" growth as of yet and barren areas of temples where vellous is hasnt changed.Only my terminal hair in thin areas seems to be affected.Maybe i need some kind of growth stimulant in addition. My regimen is ,.....
Nizoral cream...nightly after shower...wash out in morning 2 months
Liquid Kelp topical found in health food store...mornings 3 weeks now
I also use body shop piroctone olamine shampoo every night double wash leave on for few minutes

Diet is healthy,supplement magnesium,coral calcium,trace minerals,ormus minerals,trap water,magnetite treated water(2 weeks)

BTW....no visible shedding at all! i cant even find 1 hair!it doesnt seem normal cause over the years battling hairloss, always noticed shedding 10 hairs itleast when showering.now...nothing.I think ever since body shop shampoo zero shedding...weird.I also added a little bit of caffeine to the shampoo.I was thinking about starting the nanominox but dont want to start shedding and might see where my current regiment takes me for itleast a few more months and...reevaluate

nizoral cream update

With an average daily shed of 10 hairs for years, you'll have to explain to us what the f*** you're doing on this board. Or is it mother nature had given you only 80 or 90 hairs altogether? Then it is good news to know that niz cream is thickening what you have for a better coverage.

nizoral cream update

Please update us at the 6 and 12 month mark, please take photos every month, and please do not stop using your current products if you get before the 6 month mark. As you or we, will never know if it realy is working or not. By the sound of it you are !! Good luck !

I have my money on the nizoral cream and PTO shampoos being the reason.

A "Please turn over" shampoo. That is, a shampoo you must absolutely rotate with milder ones.
No, sorry. It is something like Piroctone olamine. Supposed to fight dandruff more smoothly than ketoconazole and to have some mild anti androgenic action as well. Pete 2 is the specialist. Ask him.

I have used Body Shop Ginger Scalp shampoo for several months. It contains PO(Piroctone Olamine) and is an EXCELLENT shampoo. It works MUCH better than Nizoral and does not irritate like Nizoral. I cannot go without it...

Yeah, I use the Body Shop ginger shampoo, too. Nice and mild.

But Jeff, how do you add caffeine to your shampoo? Just make some strong coffee? I mean, you can't buy liquid or powdered caffeine can you?

I was talking about the shampoo. I have no experience with the cream. By working "much" better, I was talking about its effectiveness at reducing itching and inflammation. I don't believe that Nizoral shampoo is good for either itching or inflammation. I think that Nizoral SHAMPOO actually causes itching and inflammation. Just my opinion...

what is PTO shampoo?

Yes nizoral is harsh, 1% 2 times per week is the maxium my hair can cope with before it gets too dryed out.

Im using Revita these days which is a lot milder and I can use it 4days per week easy.

I have also been trialling PTO shampoos on/off recenly. And i can say now that 6 months later my hair is worse than 6 months ago ! i have been using nizoral for 10 years and it has slowed my loss significanlty till now

So im concidering going back to 1% 3 times per week, or adding a ketoconazole topical like ketomousse or extina or the cream a few times per week.

Yeah i may try the cream. What does it look like aftyer you apply it in the morning ? is the hair greasy or is it ok ? and how hard is it to get to the scalp when you already have hair their ? And sides ?

Keto Mouse topical i have been using has worked ok.. havent notice anyhting postiive but i have only been using it randomly during the week if itchy so i cant expect much. And i think it will run out soon . So i may try the cream.

leaves the scalp no change if bald spot already, if hair already not too hard to put on, though certainly more difficult if hair is there, i just part the hair, put it on, then part it again, put it in the part, etc, cant see any other way, just depend on how little hair there is there to begin with

expect a shed and be pleased if you dont get one

nizoral cream update

jeff u

how long have u been using the cream for ? and did you take before and after photos.

I don't car what anyone sais. The human eye cannot tell if their has been a significance difference as a lot of the look of hair has to do with the style and how dry or oily it is. So the only way to tell is with the same style with before after photos if their isnt much change. Also, seeing how my hair has grown for 7 months after a hair transplant.. and how long it takes for anything to change. i highly doubt that under 6 months of use on any product we can say something does or doesn't work.

So if it hasn't been 6 months i would stick it out if i were you and take photos !

The PTO shampoo was a life saver for me. If anyone has ever experienced seborrhea, this shampoo is a must. Better than anything the dermatologist prescribed. It greatly reduces the redness, flakiness and itching. JT- what brand do you use?
