Finallyfree ( NW 6 with 11,000 + grafts ) - Nov 2007 update (Hair Transplant)

Finallyfree was Norwood 6 stage hairloss patient when he first visited us.
He has undergone 11,000 + grafts in successive procedures utilizing scalp, body and beard donor hair.
His future procedures are scheduled to thicken the crown area.

The link below shows a video recording we took when he visited us recently. In the videorecording, you can see Finallyfree combing his hair as well as the comb being used to part the transplanted hair in different ways to show the naturalness and the density.

The first is a medium definition video. The second the third are parts of the high definition video.

Great video, great results. What did 11,000+ grafts cost and how many procedures was needed, also over what length of time.

I'm still not sure an hair transplant is best way to go.What I mean is I'm scared of looking a freak in the future.I do business with a bloke who had a hair transplant twenty years or so ago,he's just got a patch of hair at front the rest as gone behind. He just regrets having it done, but in a way,I still think that even looks better than being totally bald.

Roll on HM.What is your opinion on HM,do you think it'll happen in near future or what.

Looks great, has to be one of the better BHT results out there. Sorry if I missed this but how many grafts of the total 11,000 grafts are scalp hair.

I have some questions. Do you have any photos of the patient before the surgery aside from the one in the thumbnail? Are there any photos of his crown? Do you have any video or photos of the crown to show the results? What do you mean by "medium definition"? And when you say high definition do you mean high quality or did you actually use a high definition video camera?

Dear Baldie42,
Hair transplants must be attempted with a great degree of planning. Especially keep in mind that HTs are rarely standalone procedures. Usually, a person may lose more hair with age and may require more touch up work.

I am not privy to the research on HM, as the companies doing that have yet to share pictures of progress. Therefore, its not correct me to try to guess.

Regards,
Dr. A

Thanks Dr A.
Your right.I knew the answer really,I suppose.
This is why I'll keep just shaving my head for the near future. It suits me better than thinning hair look.
I deal with the public direct to their faces every week,so I cannot risk having an hair transplant,at the moment.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed that HM comes out.

Cheers
