Dear forum readers,
Beard hair to scalp transplants have served a useful function in augmenting the donor reserves for patients with extensive hairloss.
RK1 is one such patient.
He would be a Norwood 6 had he not got previous hair transplants.
His previous transplants consisted of strip FUT, and the grafts seem spread out for coverage rather than density.
Reminscent of an era of ?"artistic" designing where the patient has a properly "framed" look and can pass muster in particular hairstyles.
RK1 wishes to use the remaining available donor resources to get an all weather hair restoration.
The first step in this direction was taken in Dec 2007. Beard hair grafts were transplanted in an area where, previously, scalp hair grafts had been transplanted (at a low density).
RK1 wishes to go in smaller sessions to avoid any prolonged disruption of his social commitments.

Scalp & Body hair transplants
Very subtle, it's kind of hard to tell the difference.

» I can see the difference. But it looks like out of the 587 grafts about 50% » grew.
There is a good amount of growth at 2 months. Something we do not tell patients to expect.
For most strip and fue cases, 2 months stage shows little, if any, growth.
Will keep readers updated on the progress.
