Wigs vs Toppers (Support & General Discussions)

DO you guys think its more acceptable for women to wear wigs than it is for a man?? Also, if you had a girlfriend that was thinning (but treating it with all she had) would you leave her?
thanks

Wigs vs Toppers

Strangely enough, it might depend upon the girl's race. Afroamerican girls and (boys) often wear wigs or extensions in winter. I think that this wish to sport europeanlike hairdos has entered the customs of these "africanese" girls. So, seeing her thin could make me ask her to shave it all down. For a white or asian girl, the problem is unfortunately more difficult. Wigs are badly regarded by our societies. Leaving her, hum, it is a bit outrageous when you're balding yourself. Can a man's sentiments be down to hair... young man may be, an older one, I don't think so unless this factor add up to a pile of others.

I wouldn't go out with a woman who is missing a lot of hair while I myself am also missing a lot of hair. It isn't because of anything negative about her or anything like that. It's because my own hairloss bothers me so much it doesn't seem like a good idea if I were to pair off with a woman who is also dealing with hairloss. She could be even more messed up psychologically over her own hairloss than I am over my own hairloss. Also, I'm in no position to save her from her psychological difficulty over her hairloss because I can't save myself from my own psychological discomfort over my own hairloss. It's kind of like the first Superman movie with the late great Chris Reeves...the part where Lois Lane is falling from the helicopter and Superman flies up from below her and grabs her and he says, "Don't worry, I've got you" and Lois says, "You've got me, who's got you?"

That's the point. I can't make her feel better. I can't help her. I can barely keep myself from going completely bonkers so I wouldn't be any good for her. My own sadness would make her feel worse than she already feels and vice versa.

OTOH if I had my hair that would be different. For example, there are numerous hair conditions and if the medical community were to cure the hairloss condition I have, which is androgenetic alopecia, then I would get my hair back. If that happened I would definitely consider going out with a woman who couldn't get her hair back because the treatment wouldn't work on her. As a matter of fact, it's something I've already contemplated. When I had my hair I was happy. If I got my hair back I would be happy again. Perhaps my happiness could spill over to her and help her find some happiness in her life.

No, I wouldn't even consider dumping a woman over hairloss. And in fact, if I had my hair I would be very agreeable to the idea of pairing off with a woman who is still dealing with hairloss.

If a man is sincere and loves a woman then he is not going to leave her because she has lost hair. Unfortunately everyone isn't sincere so I can't say what he will do because I don't know the man you are talking about. I think it is different if a woman wears a wig than if a man does because women wear wigs frequently even when they have a full head of hair so all of society is accustomed to women wearing wigs.

While I myself am missing hair I wouldn't consider having a gf who is also missing hair. It wouldn't be a good match. I'm having so much trouble with hairloss myself that pairing off with a woman who is also dealing with hairloss could be disastrous. If I had my hair back I would be very agreeable to getting romantically involved with a woman who has lost hair and I wouldn't dump her over her hairloss.

BTW maneless, what is or has been your regimen? You never talk about it or then I missed. Were you ever on DHT inibitors?

I've tried a lot of things over the past 10 years. I tried minoxidil, proscar, proscar and minoxidil in combo, RU, and Flut gel. The only thing that worked well on me was RU, and I mean it worked real well, but because we don't know the correct way to preserve it, it goes bad quickly within a few months. So you have to get it fresh every 2 - 3 months and I don't know of a way to accomplish that. RU works. It will give you what you want, if you can keep getting it fresh. Also, there is the issue of gyno. I know people who got gyno from it but they were also using proscar at the time they applied the RU. A little RU does get into the body when applied topically but it's not enough to cause gyno unless you use too high of a dose on your head. However, if you also use an oral antiandrogen/dht inhibitor then you may well find yourself with gyno.

RU preserved properly would be a dream treatment. Trust me. I phoned the company and they did tell me that they add preservatives, but they wouldn't reveal to me what preservatives they use or the correct amount of preservatives and other additives needed to make the perfect formulation. They made it sound like their scientists have figured that out but they wouldn't reveal that info to me. If they had none of us would be dealing with hairloss anymore because I would have put it together already.

So the "trick" would be to buy RU every 2 months? Where did you buy it and what price, maneless?
