John Travolta at Academy Awards (Celebrity Hair Loss)

What's was going on with his hair at the Oscars? Very short. It looked totally natural. He wasnt wearing that longer-haired wig people have been ragging on him for. Was he using alot of Dermatch or Topik or something?

Are you kidding? All the celeb sites were mocking him today. He looked ridiculous.

I Think his hair looks great short like this,no matter what it is? he looks great better than being bald good on you john.

Jeez,

I dunno. He looked pretty bizarre. Looks like he had dermatch and toppik all over his head. You could actually see his top temple area almost drawn in. I remember years ago, he had this same type of hairstyle and it looked much better than it does now. I think he should find one short style that suits him and stick with it. Let him wear different wigs for different roles. And at his age, I don't think anyone would slag him off worse than he's getting now if he just went without. But he seems like an insecure mess anyway. Did anyone notice the make-up he was also wearing? Jesus Christ!

Yeah, I don't know what's up with Travolta's hair these days.

If he's not being ridiculed for wearing a too-obvious hairpiece, then he's being ridiculed for wearing too-obvious concealers.

It's the Academy Awards for chrissakes. If you're not gonna sport your true hair condition, then take an extra half hour of preparation and get the hairpiece looking right.

He is nervous of not only being found out, but someone mentioning the obvious. Everyone in Hollywood knows he is bald now and uses toupees or concealers to cover it up. He is stuck outside (any wind that day???) doing an interview with his wife. He is glad the attention is on her orange/copper dress (I wonder did he pick that out for her because the unusual color would put attention on it and would put her in the spotlight and not him), and hoping to get the "appearance" chit-chat over with so he can go inside and sit down in the dimly-lit theatre.

I guarantee you Travolta's agent or a personal assistant he has had phoned and called Aderans and Intercytex hoping to get the real scoop as have Bruce Willis representatives. I also guarantee you he has had them speak with many "top" hair transplant doctors over the years. Actors will not get phucked over with bad surgical work as docs realize a bad HT job on someone famous will brutally hurt the entire HT industry. They get the truth when they go. Travolta has obviously made the decision (unlike Nicolas Cage) that he doesn't have enough good donor hair to really have a GREAT HT and is waiting for a newer technology that can deliver more hair. Until then, he is trying to hold onto his "image" while appearing in public with "some" hair as he probably hopes (in vain in my opinon) that he will still be a viable star with a wide range of possible roles available to him. I think he needs to get onto playing "older" men at this point myself and forget about being in any action-hero movies.

I wonder what that kooky religion, scientology, has to say about the "ethics" of concealing baldness? Is it taboo, does he need a "spiritual brainwashing, er....audit"? Is it "good for scientology" and therefore good for the masses?

Anybody in a toupee is always going to be uncomfortable of being outed.....
