Hello all
HAs anyone ever tried or heard of combining Propecia and Saw P , Nettles, or Pygeum? Just wondering if it will work better.
Thanks!

Yep.
2.5mg fin + 600mg nettle root (+800mg gingko + 1500mg maca).
Undisputably better than 2.5mg fin alone.

If you intend on sticking with Propecia, the logical supplement to complement it would be Pygeum.

The dosage is something you will have to work out.
Start off with the lowest dosage and then build up to a maintenance level.

yeah, i use all of the above... i've been on propeica for 7 years... in my opinion, it's the most powerful drug you can take to slow down hair loss... i recently started taking Saw P, Nettles, Pygeum, and Hair Max and have seen very positive results within weeks... not sure how to explain it
i would also look into getting the laser hair comb ...
--- Hair Regime
Propecia 1mg (daily)
5% Minoxidal (twice daily)
Hair-Max (2pills/day)
Saw Palmetto (320mg) & Pygeum Extract (daily)
Nettle Herb 870mg (daily)
HairMax Laser Comb (use 3 times/week)
Nizoral Shampoo (about 3 times a week) |

I take it that the Propecia has stopped working, since you are adding these naturals. Pardon me for saying, but my word is that a lot DHT inhibition!
Do you ever worry about the long term effects of such (e.g. libido issues)?

no, the propecia is still working, but my hair line has receded slightly over the last 7 years... i did read that propecia loses its effects after 5 years, and I would somewhat agree, but it's still working for me (knock on wood)... i'm taking the natural stuff to add to the DHT inhibition portfolio...
the libido has never diminished (i've always had a huge sex drive), but sexual performance has definitely weakened and i noticed soon after taking propecia...
my strategy is to keep as much of my hair as i can till there is a real solution... if that means having a "lot of DHT inhibition", so be it....

Actually its the balance of hormones which are key ie the Testosterone to Estradiol ratio.
If your noticing libido issues double up your Pygeum intake for a "short burst" to see if you notice any improvement.

If you want to stick to Propecia there is no logic in taking SP aswell. Try a combination of Propecia and Pygeum. Try Pygeum at its lowest dosage for a period of time and monitor your issues. If it doesnt have any effect, double your dosage of Pygeum.

Pygeum may help to normalise your libido issues whilst on Propecia.

Monitor your progress and you decide.
By doubling up on blocking DHT you may increase your libido issues even more.

Question for all |
I dont find any studies on combination treatment with finasteride and saw palmetto in terms of synergism or side effects. Not even in prostatic hypertrophy patients.
