follica / ICX Pigment question

That's basically what I was gonna say.

The hair's characteristics come from your skin's DNA. If the follicles grow correctly enough to function, then I don't think there's much possibility of the characteristics coming out different than the originals.

They reported that in mice the new hair were colorless. However, I doubt they would have the same issue in humans because

a) the hair color comes from the epidermis where the melanin cells are that give your skin color.

b) I haven't heard of a single case of hair regrowth after wounding/accident in which new hair were colorless, which implies that we shouldn't need any special treatment i.e. EGF inhibitors etc to add pigment to the new hair.
