AGA and smoking (Propecia, Avodart, Spiro, DHT & hormones ...)

Smoking is a known risk factor in the development of AGA in respect to the onset and its progression.

How many of you are smokers?

How many of the smokers with hair loss have stopped smoking after starting treatment for hair loss?

(This definitely influences the response to treatment)

Here's something I'd like to know: does smoking suppress the growth of body hair (like in the beard)? If not, why not? Why would it be harmful for scalp hair, but not body hair?

.
