Windfall Tax on Retirement Income
Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you're so darn stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That's what the Speaker of the House is saying. Read below...............
Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income.. In other words tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this.
Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!
This woman is frightening.
She quotes...' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.' ( I am not rich, are you)
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.' (Read that quote again and again and let it sink in. Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it.
The Dumbocrats are just way out of control.

100% agreed.
I'm not american but I'm afraid the US will dash to falsely alluring arms next fall. Obama, if elected, will undoubtedly heed this post marxist credo which we, europeans have been foolishly embracing for 60 years. remember one point: once a social benefit is granted, it can never be retrieved. It becomes fodder to any left wing stumper who raises the flag of "dangerous impoverishing right wing policies that aim at taking from the poor what they get from... "(end of quote)...tax payers. Yes, spending 10 billion bucks every month on a lost war is foolish but spending that much on idlers is lethal. And this drift is a universal characteristic of democracies, a kind of autoimmune disease.

Wow. Now that is refreshing coming from someone other than an American. I am certainly not for spending money on a war that has no support, but I am damned if my tax dollars are going to go to help the impoverished welfare state buy cell phones. I was in the checkout line at the supermarket the other day. Ahead of me was a black woman with three very young children. She was attempting to use her welfare check on a portion of the groceries (that were permitted to be purchased with the check) and the other portion with a governement issued welfare "credit card". The young guy at the cash register had not a clue how to do the paperwork on the purchase and had to call a manager over - her purchase took over 15 minutes! The whole frickin time, the mother was on her frickin cell phone talking to Shananay (Martin Lawrence reference) and acted put off and angry when they interupted her conversation and asked her for information. How in the world can she afford a cell phone and can't afford groceries to feed her children? I imagine that her monthly "income" from welfare is based on the number of children she has. Heck, she can just have another kid to pay for the cell phone - they are as "throw-away" as the cell phone, aren't they? This is the kind of bullsh*t that gives the Democrats wet dreams. Tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend - oh, and hug a tree.
Don't get me wrong here. I am all for helping those who desperately need it. I am NOT for supporting those who could easily get a job and support themselves. If one can't afford children, wear a frickin condom or use birth control.

Jtel, in our declining western societies, we have entered an era of growing irresponsibility. Living in a country where welfare benefits are 100 times those available in yours, I can tell you that the tack is now well established: People moan and wail for social benefits that allegedly provide them with the NECESSARY whereas in the same time, those wailers spend away their private income on the SUPERFLUOUS. We are in societies where people can afford the superfluous but not the necessary which they feel entitled to grab from real working classes. The problem is that the political support for this ever growing demographics is no longer fringe. I think this was about it with J. Edwards' constituency. And the guy now endorses Obama... I am no Mc Cain's supporter but this old lion might well be less prone to hurt his own country that the young one, however appealing and prepossessing obama may be.

There is no way in hell that sane, rational people are really gonna purposely have more children just for the welfare money. No matter how poor they might be.
Poor people tend to have kids they can't support. They also tend to take welfare money. But that doesn't mean the one causes the other. Richer people have complained that poor people are giving birth to too many kids for thousands of years.

My point being that the social welfare system in the US is broken. It has become a beast and a burden. One would have to be insane not to see that there are countless people out there who take advantage of the system. If you were paid not to work, would you? The system was not broken by the Bush Administration, which is, according to CNN, MSNBC and all of the other left-wing news outlets, the source of all the worlds problems. It is comical to watch people like Kieth Oberman (sp?)from MSNBC actively and aggresively campaigning for Obama by trying to belittle the Bush Administration. Kieth and his ilk are shameless. Real candidates don't need some half-wit pundit pandering for them. Obama is running on the "change" mantra, but his change is more of the same - tax and spend liberalism.

Of course the government should be allowed to tax the money we make off our investments. The government already does this. I paid taxes on stock profits that I made last year and if I make a profit on stocks this year then I should pay taxes on those profits. What is your problem with paying taxes on profits? I have no problem with paying taxes of profits. Are you saying that If you put money into a bank account and draw 10s of thousands of dollars in interests per year you should not have to pay taxes on those 10s of thousands of dollars you earn each year in interest? If you are saying that then what you are saying is that you don't want to pay income tax and that's irresponsible and reckless and selfish. If you aren't willing to pay income taxes on your profits then that means that you aren't willing to pay to have a country. You aren't willing to pay to keep America safe and strong. It sounds like you are saying you shouldn't have to pay income taxes and if that is what you are saying then by all means don't pay income taxes and I hope you find yourself sharing a cell with Wesley Snipes.

You know some welfare recipients (possibly the lady you talk about in your post) have cell phones so they can look for work. They need to be able to receive calls and stuff like that. Also, they need phones for health reasons and stuff like that. Since most of these cellphones have unlimited talk anyway what difference does it make if she has a cellphone primarily for job search but also uses it for personal calls? There's also the working poor who need cellphones because their employer demands they have phones. Again, as long as they have to have a phone for employment reasons and health issues what's wrong with them also using those phones for personal calls? Nothing. You're just mean.

Ridiculous isn't it? It's mean-spirited poop is all it is. These same people who begrudge a sick person, elderly person, child, or a person struggling against insurmountable discrimination getting a dime of help from the government go to church every sunday. Of course, Jesus wants the poor, disabled, elderly, children, and persecuted (those struggling against discrimination) financially protected but these religious right-wingers ignore that fact. Jesus fed a lot of people and protected a lot of people and took care of a lot of people.

Bush has spent us to the brink of bankruptcy and he squandered the money on an Iraq war that never needed to be fought. Studies have already been done on the issue of the frequency of welfare fraud and the 5 of people getting welfare who shouldn't get it is very very small. Anytime you have a system where people get money there are going to be some cases of fraud. Again, the percentage of fraud in the welfare system is very small. That aside, you really don't want your tax dollars helping anyone is the real issue and so you see fraud everywhere in the welfare system. You want the system shut down. You don't want to help the poor, the disabled, the children, the elderly, and the people struggling with insurmountable discrimination. You're stingy. You're probably a creationist who absolutely accepts the existance of God and that Jesus was the son of God, but you ignore Jesus's challenge to mankind because Jesus wants us to protect the people I listed - the poor, the disabled, the elderly, the children, and the people struggling against discrimination.
