July for Acell? (Hair Multiplication & Research)

So I thought I would start a new thread based on something I read in an earlier posting. Where did this information come to light about a 'human' version of 'pixie dust' being available in July '08? Has this been confirmed? How have trials of this gone under the radar to the point where it is in fact FDA approved?

Thanks guys.

I have no idea. There are possibly only two explanations. Government desperately wants it or its the biggest scam ever :)

It's no scam. It's already been used in vet medicine and on a few humans. The company was tied up in court with Purdue University over patent rights. I've spoken with their rep and it's for real.......although they have made no claims for hair regeneration......that's just our hopes (and a real possibility).

Thanks,
Bill

Yet other companies were claming loud and clear that they have some solution for MPB and they were a miserable failure ...were't they ???

That's great that it's out - what are we going to do now?

Acell coming out in July is great news. Everything we've seen to date on this products seems to suggest it might work for hair loss, and I'm excited.

I guess the question now is what we're going to do about it once it comes out. Should we be speaking to HT doctors and convince them to try it? I just hope it doesn't come out and doctors just ignore it.

I think that you have the right idea. I'm sure that many HT doctors aren't even aware of this product. I think that the best thing we can do is try to spread the word to as many HT doctors as possible with the hopes that some of them take it seriously and are willing to try it.

Once a few of them do (and get positive results) the other HT doctors will be forced to use it if they want to compete.

Hi Willy,

Was it you or your brother you initially raised Acell and emailed a whole heap of doctors to alert them to it? I think that shows great initiative. I'm going to speak with several docs here in the UK about it too. Once this products hits the market we should be emailing doctors and post something in the HT forum too.

Hello everybody,

The HT board is certainly the way to go here. We already have important HT surgeons in this board. If we can get them to try it then its granted, if Acell does a great job, that all the other HT surgeons will follow.
Frankly I dont think that we will have any trouble spreading the word about Acell, if it succedes it will sell itself all over the world .

Willy, while you're at it - why not have the HT doc dermabrade maybe like an inch of your scalp on top and see if ACELL rejuvenates existing hair. If that works that would be the best thing for hairloss!

Hi Leonard,

Actually, it was another forum member (I can't remember their name) who alerted us about Acell. I e-mailed about 30 docs and got a few responses. I will e-mail them again when it's released for human usage.

Thanks,
Bill

Goata,

I probably won't actually try Acell until I make an appointment and go for another HT. I'm not sure when that will be. Hopefully, before then, others will have tried it and it will be proven or disproven.

Thanks,
Bill
