Dear forum readers,

FUSE techniques enable use of a wide array of hair follicles to provide aesthetic improvement in cases considered unsuitable for hair restoration surgeries otherwise.

Following are pictures of one such case.

The patient is a Norwood class 7 and has a slick bald scalp.

He has very limited scalp donor reserve.

I look forward to read comments/advise on the hair restoration strategy for the patient.

He should definitely shave off and forget HTs. He is never going to have enough donor to cover. Even his donor is too thin.
Theres so much slick bald scalp in recipient = diminished blood supply. That will impact negatively on the grafts, if placed.

Overall, a very poor candidate for transplant.

I feel patients and readers contribute a lot by voicing their opinion and suggestions.
What I may do will be only one option.

Its best to start thinking on one's own though.

Another NW 7 should not be constricted for choices by reading what I perform.

With all due respect, unless you have invented a new breakthrough for baldness, we all know that his only option is body hair (beard, pubic, armpits, legs, arms, thighs etc etc) and maybe a few scalp hairs via fue. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Since, it seems you and the patient have already gone ahead, its safe to assume he has had a transplant.

If I was him, I will go for the buzz cut look with a 5 'O clock shadow using transplanted hair from head and body. Any attempts at dense cover in small area will not look good. Just my opinion.
I know you are the best doctor at fue bht. Even then, I doubt much can be done for this person.

Well, the next step is to post pics of the donor areas. If he has good body hair he can start a receding look in front and perhaps even skip the crown region. A frontal region constructed with new temple points would be a real achievement, but can it be done?

With enough donor, its possible, but it seems risky. I would be impressed if you went forward with this
