I just heard another joke about my hair...time for that glue on toupee. (All Natural, Supplements & Diet) |
Just when I thought my hair was looking a LITTLE better, I hear another crack at my hair. We were talking about peoples' ages at my table in a restaurant. I was the younger one being 32. Then one of my friends had to mention that when they see my forehead all they see is skull. She was exaggerating, but it still bothered me. When you have less hair than people who are older than you it really makes you feel bald. Actually I think it's even worse when you hear a bald joke when nobody has said anything about it before. Like it's on their mind, but they don't have the courage to say anything about it until they are drunk.
I'm seriously thinking about getting that glue on toupee stuff now. lions den, images, transitions, whatever they are called. I've been drinking so maybe I'll change my mind when I wake up. As of now it my plan though. I'm not completely bald. Just thinning in certain areas so maybe I could pull it off.
***edited*** I just did some research. I'll get a lace one. They allow for breathing of the scalp so I could still use all natural products.

its called teasing. If you were able to handle it, you'd show strength and she'd be attracted to you. But you failed and showed you are weak.

Debris,
She is 52, married, and I wasn't interested in her. Yeah, she was teasing, but I still didn't like it.
If someone was teasing you and said, "hey! You're looking really ugly lately." You may be strong enough to take it, but it doesn't make you look any better in public. I'm just not down with hair jokes. I don't find them funny. Maybe because they remind me that I'm looking older with thinning hair.

Most men are sensitive about their hair or lack thereof.
It could be just as easily said that those who visit hair forums, like you debris, are "weak."

the weakness is what women sense when you react wrongly to that teasing. It also works the other way a lot. If you can get over the teasing in a way that is not "stupid" nor "weak", you will show strength, and woman will sense it. That was all I wanted to say.

Don't do it. Take it from a man who has been there. You think the jokes are bad now? Think again. The paranoia will kill you and trying to keep it looking real will exhaust you. No, you can't swim with it. No, you can't do anything in which you work up a sweat. No, you can't just waltz into a brightly lit room with it. It's a depression trap and if you don't find the guts to rip that thing off your head, it will eventually kill you.

The absolute worst response to being overly sensitive about your hair is a toupee.
You'd be even more miserable. Like others already stated, if you wouldnt care about neither will anyone else, if it bothers you, people think you're weak.

I would bet that you are at the top of the list. I see that you post often in every forum of Hairsite. There's nothing wrong with that, but I can't imagine that someone who has no issues with their hair would do so...it would be a complete waste of time.
With reguards to me, I do post here often. I usually only read the HM / Research forum and sometimes the HT forum. I rarely read through the other forums. Try to find many posts of mine outside of the HM / Research forum. There are several of my posts in the HT forum, but most of those are about Acell.
But, I don't claim that my hair looks great. I do have issues with my hair. I've had transplants, and the front looks pretty good (not great, but good enough that it doesn't bother me that much) but the back is pretty thin. That's why I'm here. If I had no issues with my hair, I wouldn't come to Hairsite.
Take Care,

I post Often? in EVERY forum in Hairsite?
see now you are just flat out lying. I post maybe once a week in the transplant forum, maybe once a month in topicals or DUT forum, I post once or more times per day in the HM forum since that is the only forum that people post much on, other than transplants. The other forums, hair weave toupee, etc, i never post in ,
I may have more posts total than a lot of posters on the board, but there are a lot of new posters that post wayyyyyyy more than I do. especially all the HM fanatics

It's more just about me feeling old. I have a young looking face and I'm in good shape. I'm energetic and I like to have fun. It's just the less hair I get, the older I look. If someone brings up my thinning hair, it just reminds me how I'm looking older. It's almost like someone telling me..."hey, you're really getting old and ugly."
Maybe I'll just use topik if I go out then. The thing I hate about topik though it gets expensive if you want to be always seen with hair. Like you'll meet a person at the club wearing topik, but then you have to continue the lie. Not much different than a hair piece IMO. I'll look into the hair weaving thing as well.

I just heard another joke about my hair...time for that glue on toupee. |
hanging is the most prolific and useless poster on hairsite. did you hear about the law of insecurity and baldness? the law states that the more insecure and bald a person is, the more he will post on hairsite.
hanging, you say you are smart? i say you have an iq lower than 50.
want to correct people's spelling and grammar? go ahead ... that just shows you are dumber than you sound. everyone knows there is no correlation between spelling and grammar and intelligence.
you are just an old bald man. taking vitamins is not going to do anything to help.
what would you do without hairsite? you would probably kill yourself, since you have no life!
hahahahaha!
come on hanging, let's joust on your natural supplements board. let the insults flow bald old man!

It seems like half the guys on any hair loss website are posting 25x a day and still insisting they're not bothered by their hair situation.
We're all pretty messed up about our hair or else we wouldn't be here in the first place. (The guys who truly aren't messed up about their balding situations are the ones that DON'T EVER SHOW UP HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.)
Why be coy about the whole thing? We're all in this together.

Perry, next time this 52 y-o hag makes some fuss about your "forehead showing only skull" or what, just tell her that hers shows only wrinkles. This kind of weapon is dramatically efficient against women.

Yeah man, don't do the toupee. At the end of the day, it's essentially acceptable and even normal for men to be balding. Not to mention, this is your world too, not just theirs'.

I decided to do the toppik thing instead. Actually I just puchased online some bottles of imitation toppik that are MUCH cheaper. I just don't like the way I look with thinning hair.
