Suggestion to improve the forum (Admin Issues)

I am a software developer and I think it would be beneficial for the forum to have the option to mark a thread or an individual post as spam.

In that way people won't have to answer the spammers keeping the thread up.

There would also be a private page for the admin showing the most rejected threads/messages so he can act accordingly.

Just an idea.

Great Idea!! It would be nice to notate the nuisance (sp?) posters and maybe even get rid of them. Would there be a way to prevent the same IP address from marking a thread or forum member more than once? Obviously, it could be a problem if someone could mark the same thread / forum member over and over again for personal reasons. It would be great if David could see enough marks against a thread / forum member from different members of Hairsite (different IP addresses) and remove the thread, and if it happens enough, ban that forum member's IP address. Is that possible?

I suggest an ignore link so that one can ignore specific posters. But David/Hairsite doesn't want this because he has figured out that the bickering gets him more hits. He cares more about hits than the integrity of this site.

It's impossible to have rational discussion with these trolls in here. I don't think David cares because when there's bickering he gets more hits and that means more money. This place is a mess because of the trolls and David is unwilling to stop them.

this forum interface sucks. It may be beautiful but the old forum look&feel was WAY better. I believe it had the functionalities you mention.

ť look&feel was WAY better. I believe it had the functionalities you mention.

what old forum interface.........i have been here at least 5 yrs and its the same as it always was

the way back machine shows the old forum interface to be primitive and boring way worse than this
