70 hairs a day may not be alarming, even on combing alone. I am mad enough to have been counting extensively the hair I shed for nearly 3 years and the critical number for me is around 150. More than that mean I actually lose density. Less than this means it's OK. I remainskeptical though about foam. Iuse 15% standard alcohol minox.

It may take up to 4 months before good hair growth can be seen with Rogaine.

Losing about 70 hairs per day may be considered normal.

Rogaine foam destroyed my hair very quickly. Many posters on another board had the same problem, with pics to prove it.

I was on liquid minox for a long time prior to switching to the foam. I never experienced such aggressive hairloss until switching to the foam.

But the one advanatage with foam is--- it does not contain PG and the side effect of itching/burning sensation of the scalp is not there.

Do you use it? Have you seen actual results from it? Show me some photographic evidence. In my opinion, this stuff is a marketing ploy.

One BIG disadvantage is that it accelerates hair loss. I'll be happy to post links here of all the users that complained of this.

Scalp irritation is due to PG and it has been proved.

Topical minoxidil can cause scalp irritation .
These were historically thought to be caused by minoxidil itself, but patch testing identified propylene glycol (present in minoxidil solution) as the causative agent in 9 of 11 patients, while only 4 of 11 reacted to minoxidil.
