I'd wait for Benji and Cal to chime-in, but here's my layman explanation. First consider InterCytex, and consider their Hair Multiplication technology. Now consider what part of their process can be outsourced, and what's proprietary technology mutually exclusive to them. Ok now read their process:

1) Take a small biopsy - administered by any healthcare specialist/ dermatologist/ plastic surgeon/ etc
2) Separate the dermal papilla cells from the biopsy
3) Culture those cells in great numbers - Thus far this technology is mutually exclusive to InterCytex.
4) Dermabrade scalp - administered by any healthcare specialist/ dermatologist/ plastic surgeon/ Cosmetician/ etc
5) Microinject dermal papilla cells into scalp. Micro injection guns are readily available; they're not exclusive to InterCytex.
6) Based on their vague claims, they saw hair count increase anywhere from 13-105%

Got it? Good Based on that process only the cell cultivation aspect was out of our reach (point 3). Now consider that PromoCell could, quite possibly, offer a solution to that problem. If this is true, we can start spreading the news amongst Hair Transplant surgeons (like Willy did with Acell/ I did with the Punch Hair Matic); we may be able to replicate the ICX-TRC process much-much sooner.

I wonder who their target customer is for this product. I guess for groups doing stem cell research involving hair which could be Intercytex, Aderans, etc. but could also be groups who's research has nothing to do with MPB.

Additionally, if hair cloning research for MPB is looking like its actually going to come to market, they might be positioning themselves to be a supplier to physicians / company that performs the procedure.

Also, I don't know anything about bio stuff but it seems like there is some interesting stuff regarding the science behind hair cloning when looking at the pages / products available through the 2nd pulldown.

I didt read anything about this whole techology, but I'm almost 100% sure that the DPs they can iduce through their multiplication plateforme does not have hair inducing properties.. the scaffolds and other considerations are lacking..Well they are like, let say at least, 3 years of research behind Intercytex and Kemp or Aderans.

They have not been on the news adn something like would be on the news...only company going for real is Follica...lets wait for them since they actualy using real doctors, in a real laboratory in a wealthy accredited Univeristy with top doctors....plus they had a 10mn interview on the today show!!

Promocell is nothing more than a company that makes cell growth media for use in the lab. It is similar to simple agar (example only) that is used to culture bacteria, etc. This has absolutely nothing to do with a treatment for hair loss.

Of course, PromoCell isn't a standalone cure, just how an empty syringe isn't a cure for anything. Even the Follica drugs aren't a cure by themselves. These things are part of a bigger process.

I assumed, that in the hands of a healthcare specialist, promocell could be used to culture our own dermal papilla cells for injection into the scalp. Keep in mind that, up until now, the cell cultivation aspect was mutually exclusive to InterCytex. Maybe this product could aid other researchers (not quite as incompetent as InterCytex) get things moving.

Dr Batra/Hoffman might have use for this product to expedite their own hair cloning efforts. Dr Gho might be eager to try something new to reclaim his former fame. We know Dr Umar, Arvind and Jones aren't afraid to research new possibilities either. Heck, even Dr Armani's been bragging to people how he's working on a cure; PromoCell could help legitimize his claims.

We can buy a cultur system from Pormocell an then we can do the Intercytex experiment at home,like Follica :-)
We need a mixer and some follices from our Heat.Then we do the Follicels in a Mixer.
So,and all what is in the mixer,we put in the cultur system :-D :-D :-D :-D .

O.k and some months later,we lubricate it of our heat :-D :-D :-D

hehe, well I'm certainly not recommending we build our own Castle-of-Frankenstein labs, do our own biopsies, and clone our own cells, BUT here's how I see it:

InterCytex is small, slow, and secretive. Most importantly, they're not taking TRC past Phase II without any third-party intervention. Why should we depend on them with that track record? Why can't we spread the word on PromoCell to other, more eager biotech's/ HT doctors? I can't see how they could do worst than InterCytex.

	Of course, PromoCell isn't a standalone cure, just how an empty syringe isn't a cure for anything. Even the Follica drugs aren't a cure by themselves. These things are part of a bigger process. I assumed, that in the hands of a healthcare specialist, promocell could be used to culture our own dermal papilla cells for injection into the scalp. Keep in mind that, up until now, the cell cultivation aspect was mutually exclusive to InterCytex. Maybe this product could aid other researchers (not quite as incompetent as InterCytex) get things moving. Dr Batra/Hoffman might have use for this product to expedite their own hair cloning efforts. Dr Gho might be eager to try something new to reclaim his former fame. We know Dr Umar, Arvind and Jones aren't afraid to research new possibilities either. 	We can buy a cultur system from Pormocell an then we can do the Intercytex experiment at home,like Follica We need a mixer and some follices from our Heat.Then we do the Follicels in a Mixer. So,and all what is in the mixer,we put in the cultur system . O.k and some months later,we lubricate it of our heat Max is located in [NA] and he is available to meet: NO

Most importantly, they're not taking TRC past Phase II without any third-party intervention. Why should we depend on them with that track record? Why can't we spread the word on PromoCell to other, more eager biotech's/ HT doctors? 	I called with Promocell! Yes,they have a Dermal Papilla Cell culture system! But,they have no accreditation for this product!!! If a doctor,use the system from Promocell,he make punishable! Promocell needs a accreditation to use at humans and they have no plans to apply for it! Next pleas! Max is located in [NA] and he is available to meet: NO
