i am not talking about being excluded from society. i am talking about being excluded from deep intimate relationships. 90 something percent of women will reject a man because he's bald and 30% of men are bald. do the math. and it might even be worse than those stats suggest because lots of women married to balding men may dump their bald mates as he loses more hair. so statistically there may may be a baseline of 30% of single men that are bald but then there is constantly more bald men being dumped into the "single men pool" so bald men may make up more than 30% of the single men.

that having been said, at least 30% of single men are bald (and perhaps more than 30%) and only 5% (likely) to 10% (at most) of women will give a bald guy a chance so this means that a whole lot of bald guys are going to be left out of an important deep intimate relationship. What happens to these mens health (both mental and physical) as a result of women excluding them? According to studies, like the one that starts this thread, bald men suffer profound, even deadly, mental and physical damage as a result of women excluding them.

now, i acknowledge that men are excluding less attractive women too. only the pretty people get to win because of the way things are.

Why are you stating all these random percentages that you have made up? I'm not saying baldness doesn't make a difference, it certainly does, but I think it's more indirect than you're trying to make out.

Baldness isn't excluding you from deep intimate relationships, you are. It's just a physical characteristic, that's like saying big noses, sticking out ears ears or squint teeth rule you out from a relationship, when we all know none of this is true.

Baldness really isn't going to be the deciding factor in any real relationship. I can imagine it would be a game breaker if the couple are very young, but majority of guys experience some degree of balding throughout their lives, they just deal with it in different ways.

i am not making up random percentages. 30% of men are bald is a pretty common statistic. if i'm correct, and many here agree with me, some women dump their men when their men lose hair, then of course you can add that many more bald men to the percentage of men that make up the pool of single men. Anytime you add more of a specific group to anything then the percentage of that specific group increases within the overall group. it's a common sense fact. as far as my calculation that 90 - 95 percent of women don't like men who are bald, well, i base that on numerous polls i have seen. I've posted that polls numerous times in the past but i can't remember when i got them from. you're welcome to read every post i ever posted and if you do so then you will find those polls i am now refering to. i will tell you that in the book "Are bald men sexy?" there is a poll that demonstrates something like 95% or 98% of women like the guys with hair over the guys missing hair. go get the book and read it and then tell me my stats are wrong. until you have done so you're just some bald guy who is saying my stats are wrong because you are scared to face the fact that my stats are correct. now go run along and get the book and read it and then come back and talk to me or keep tiptoeing past the graveyard, whistling dixie, hiding your head in the sand BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO WEAK AND SCARED TO ADMIT THE TRUTH. Yes your point is probably right, but be careful when using statistics:
as you know the vast majority of men do prefer blondes and dark hair women according to statistics (90-95%, a local newspaper putting this figure to 98%), but all the red hair women I know (but one) have boyfriends/husbands/regular one-night stands. And I'll be surpriseed if you were turning some of them down (you'll be crazy!).

As you see there are many other variables, and as important (if not more) i.e. I guess you know that a SEXY man is more succesfull than a pretty boy? I give you an example: my mother tongue's French, and I am more succesfull now (or would be, was I not married!) in my 30s living in an English speaking country (ze sexy language) than I was with a full head of hair back home in my 20s (and believe me, I honestly was a pretty boy, but a lesser personality is worst than a bald head).

i already have enough friends. but i do hate coming here and see grown men lying about the seriousness of their predicament. it makes them look weak in my eyes. it makes them look like they are hiding from the truth because they can't take it. hardly a bunch of Maximus's. And that is just one of my issues with guys lying about the seriousness of baldness. More issues are:

1. we have to face the truth in order to solve the problem.

2. why should the med community give a damn about our plight if we bald people are running around saying "it's just hair" and losing our hair has "no real life consequences" and "it's all in our minds." we need to keep pressure on the medical community and concerned about us instead of acting like everything's fine. do you get it?

3. why should women be allowed to get away with being shallow, superficial, and selfish? they have made careers of accusing men of being superficial and selfish and oversexual, but the reality is that these same women are out there ver selfishly chasing after cutey men because they want sex with cutey men that they're attracted to. in other words, everything they disdainfully accuse us of doing is exactly what they themselves are doing.

4. baldness leads to men (and probably women too) doing some pretty tasteless and immoral things like leaving their country (USA) where women are difficult for him and going to some 3rd country (phillipines) to exploit starving 14 year olds for sex on the cheap.

there's more reasons but i just got bored so i'm stopping with these 4. now run along and haggle with starving, 3rd world, 14 year old phillipino girls to get sex from them for $3.

there are two kinds of guys on the board
you have the guys who are thinning, would like to do something about it, but if they cant, they are tough, and they will make it in life. They will get married, have families, succeed in their business lives, etc etc, albeit a little less cheery and with a little less hair than they would like.

then we have the loser crowd. These guys were losers before they started thinning, and thinning has only made it worse. You are a perfect example. you are the president of the losers club. The losers like to whine and cry, they are spineless and weak. They love to blame god and society, and all those mean shallow women out their, for all their problems in life. Most have seldom if ever had a real date in life, much less a girlfriend. A large percentage still live at home with their mommies, since they are too weak to handle the real world, without someone to hold their hand. absolutely, altho i think it also comes with age, i whined and complained when i was younger, as i grew older hair becomes less important to me, i realize that the most important thing is money, not hair.

1. I don't lie about hairloss, that's why I am here. Don't get me wrong, I can't believe either that in the 21st century, no "real" cure agaisnt hairloss exist.

However, I would hate to look back in ten years and get the feeling, I spent some of the best years of my life mourning endlessly, looking at stats and all that crap. Feel free to do so if you want, juts be a shame. I already wasted a couple of years in my late teenage w/o a life/depressed etc. because of intense spotting at the time. I remember spending my time counting how many people with or without spotting had a girlfriend, one-night stands etc. When I decided to still look at treatments (don't get me wrong!) BUT start to enjoy life, I was at the worst of my spotting. However, something strange happened: I started to have girls being attracted to me. Why? Confidence... unless you have a better answer?

2. You might see people like me as weak, your opinion. Having had a relatively tough life myself, e.g. survived a civil war, having been seriously injured in a clash ("believed to be dead" at the time), and that's just an example, it makes it easier for people like me to live with a physical "disadvantage", i.e. hairloss, and to apreciate to be alive every day and enjoy coffee the morning, wine, friends, sun/rain, married life, whatever life throws at me. Yes, I avoid mirrors and sometimes still think too much about hairloss - hovewer, please enjoy life!

3. Keeping pressure at the med community: allright with this one, that's the point I agree with you.

4. About women: a lot are shallow and superficial, as a lot of men are. Simply avoid those ones. If I consider all the women I know who wouldn't date a bald guy, none are my type: too loud, too fake, too plastic, or simply too stupid - or all of those attributes. Funnily enough, I wouldn't rate them as top models - none of them. But maybe it's not the case for all countries in the world? In my opinion, you should start to concentrate on your strengths, rather than your weaknesses (hairloss).

5. Yes going abroad helps, and I am not speaking about sex slavery. It is how I found confidence at the time of my heavy spotting: a year studying abroad in another european country, I got more than I wished for. Remember, lots of women (and men to a certain extent) are attracted by everything different/foreign (language, accent, cultural differences) - and the good news is, those people tend to be the opposite of the too loud, too fake, too plastic, or simply too stupid kinda people. Try it yourself, go abroad, and enjoy life.... and French wine.

Hangin, you are a joke. My point is not that bald men are losers. My point is that United States women are too selfish, finicky, and disriminating. Also, I think it's laughable that you left the United States because your baldness prevented you from getting it on with attractive U.S. women, and you relocated to a 3rd world country (the phillipines) so you could haggle over pennies for sex with startving 16 year old girls. Given what you have been reduced to by baldness, AND by the selfishness of US women, you should support my allegations that US women are too selfish, finicky, and discriminating. 1. I respectfully agree with some of what you say and respectfully disagree with some of what you say. Some of us can't leave the country because we have lives here in the US. But i do believe that you are right about women being kinder in countries outside of the US. But if I left I would feel like I let these selfish cretins run me off. I will stay and I will get my hair back and when I do get my hair back all these women will be flirting with me and I will not forgive any physical deficits that womem have. And in the meantime I will focus on other things, making money, advancing in my job, hanging onto my friends, my hobbies, personal growth, etc. But yea, you are right about American women...these people are nasty and selfish. 4. I do think that we are getting close to an effective treatment for hairloss. It may be very soon or kind of soon but it is coming...definitely within 6 or 7 years, but maybe even sooner.

Maneless ie brainless , your point in your posts, is for bald men to accept the fact they are bald and view it as a handicap, and agree with you that people discriminate against us. It is true that life is more difficult if you are thinning, you wont get as many dates with the women you choose , and you may not get that job you want. No, you are wrong, that is not what I'm saying. Of course i think that guys should still try to make the most of themselves despite their hairloss. I have a good job and I'm trying to move ahead, I try to stay in shape and watch my health, i maintain my hobbies, and I travel with my vacation time, i have friends and i've had a few gfs while I've been missing hair and I just broke up with one a few months ago. So you will stop misstating my point I wll make my point clear: men with thinning hair should do their best to advance in their careers, make money, live well, stay healthy, have friends, have interests, have hobbies, enjoy life, and have "ACCEPTABLE" gfs/wives whenever possible. They should not sit around moping about their hairloss 24/7. However, they should accept that their lives might probably be better if they had their hair and they should try to recover their hair. I say that their lives "might probably" be better if they had their hair because there are bald guys out there who do have reasonably good and dignified lives. Some even get attractive gfs/wives because there are some attractive women who will give bald guys a chance, but the problem is that there are not that many...not enough to go around to all the single guys that are bald.

Do you mean "The liar who says he's not handicapped?" A man in a wheelchair is a liar if he says he is not handicapped. A guy in a wheel chair works in my office. He is handicapped. We all know this. But there are still jobs he can do and he should do a job he can do if he is not so handicapped that he can't do any job. Look, he knows he's handicapped but he is trying anyway. He has even talked to me about the ways his handicap puts some limitations on him. All of us here respect and admire him and like him. It doesn't make a person disgraceful to say that a handicap puts some limitations on him and to illuminate what those limitations are. Just because i say that women discriminate against bald men doesn't mean that I think bald men should stop trying to get sex from women. Give me a break retard. When I say that US women discriminate against bald men I am simply stating a fact, but that doesn't mean that I think bald men should let women call all the shots. I definitely think that bald men should continue to find ways to get sex from women, even attractive women, but they should also realize that bald men are at a disadvantage and they have to be careful which women they go after so they don't give the women lots of opportunities for, and satisfaction of, rejecting bald men. It happens but you want to limit it. Also, some employers are going to be evil in their employment decisions and they will discriminate against bald men so bald men need to be careful who they work for and if they get stuck working for someone who isn't being fair to them then bald men should stay open-minded to other opportunities.
