Follicle dissecting team? Why do you need a follicle dissecting team for fue? i thought you dissect follicles only when doing strip.

These are really great prices. And you can take a vacation to Korea also! What a deal! I am sure the prices for the trip to Korea have subsided also... so a person can make a vacation out of it.

I am sure Dr. Cole Korea has the same prices Dr. Cole USA ($5.50 to 6.00 USD.)
We at Shapiro medical also have the $6.00 American dollars for FUE here in Minnesota.

I am glad you brought this up. I still recommend Dr. Harris. He has a unique way of performing his FUE and it produces results. In fact, I have been following one of his body hair patients that lives here in Minneapolis and has shown good growth in body hair.

So yes I recommend Dr. Harris as one of the better FUE clinics. :-)

Wow when did prices fall this much? I was considering traveling abroad for FUE procedure as I thought it would be cheaper. Thanks for the info, anyone know of other top clinics in this price range now?

I am quite shocked myself too, last I checked they were charging almost $10 a graft for fue. I know Umar is in the $5 - $6 a graft range too, In comparison Shapiro and Harris are very expensive considering they are far less experienced than Cole and Umar.

As far as pricing is concerned... FUE should be less than $10 per graft in my opinion. And people need to realize that yes experience is vital for proper technique and results for this procedure.

However what I have seen through out the years in working with FUE is this:

The extraction portion of the procedure is very important. You have to extract a vital graft... but wha is more important is the fact that the FUE graft has to be placed perfectly for growth.

A strip graft has more protection than an FUE graft. This is because a strip graft has more adipose and tissue surrounding the follicle than an FUE extraction. This fact directly leads to those experienced technicians placing these grafts without crushing the fragile follicle.

Having said this... I can say that a clinic that has kept their technicians for years (6,7,+) will be more apt to have a higher yield than a clinic that has not kept their technicians or has a high turn over rate. Due the math.

And lastly, while we have seen over the years Dr. Umar has had great strides in FUE... specifically in body hair... but you cannot compare him to Dr. Cole. They both have taken FUE to better levels... and so has Bisanga, Mwamba, Devroye, Rose, Harris... and now Ron and Paul Shapiro. :-)

Dr. Harris has been doing FUE for many years and getting great growth and yield, so while he may not have as much experience as Dr Cole, he is certainly as experienced as Dr. Umar.

As far as Dr. Shapiro goes, right now we are charging 6.00 per graft with a 500.00 discount. If that seems high, consider the reputation, results and value our patients have received for 15 years. We may be new to the FUE game, but we are not going to jeopardize our reputation by putting out a poor product. To that end, I think the cost to value is actually excellent. Of course, it is a matter of opinion, so just offering my viewpoint.

To the actual thread, congrats on the Asia Clinic. Look forward to continued success.

The times have changed. Fue is evolving...

What makes fue successful in my opinion is the combination of perfect extractions and perfect placement of the graft.

In my opinion there are just a few clinics that get this concept. And what is sad is that there area plethora of clinics that do not get this concept.

In my opinion, the real potential of FUE lies in body hair, a great FUE doctor has to be someone who is willing to go all out incorporating body hair in the procedure. A doctor who only does scalp FUE and never bothers to experiment with body hair donor is not taking full advantage of this marvellous technique.

DR Mwamba does FUe on a daily basis not strip and he does not push patients to have strip. No need to add that Dr Mwamba maybe the most experienced DR in europe when it comes to BHT.

We may be new to the FUE game, but we are not going to jeopardize our reputation by putting out a poor product. To that end, I think the cost to value is actually excellent. 	The times have changed. Fue is evolving... What makes fue successful in my opinion is the combination of perfect extractions and perfect placement of the graft. In my opinion there are just a few clinics that get this concept. And what is sad is that there area plethora of clinics that do not get this concept. In my opinion, the real potential of FUE lies in body hair, a great FUE doctor has to be someone who is willing to go all out incorporating body hair in the procedure.
