From April 7-10 The NeoGraft Automated Hair Transplant System was on Display at the Orlando Live Surgery Workshop sponsored by the ISHRS.
There was about 100 Doctors there to witness a Live Surgery using the NeoGraft.
The NeoGraft did not disappoint.
Dr. Alan Bauman and Hair Transplant Technician Al-Tariq Harris (from Anagen Staffing) combined to harvest 355 Grafts with only 2 hairs transected.
The NeoGraft even harvested a 5 Hair FU using a 1mm punch.
Normally this would have been a great procedure but; add a packed operating room, TV Camera’s and 100 sets of eyes and it was a great performance of what can be done with the NeoGraft.
Doctors were there to witness all aspects of the procedure including what the grafts looked like after being harvested, the popular consensus of those who witnessed the procedure was that the grafts were perfect and there were no ill effects from the NeoGraft.
The buzz of the conference was that, doctors who normally would not consider performing FUE are now seeing that it is a part of the hair transplant process and must be offered to round out the Hair Transplant services which they provide or risk losing ground to more full service Hair Transplant providers.
Be if for standard FUE Hair Transplants or specialty procedures like Eye Lash Transplants, Eye Brow Transplants or Body Hair Transplants.
A healthy and profitable Hair Transplant Center is good for all, especially the patients.

I was at the meeting,working for a company that does marketing. Our spot was close to the neograft salesman. The first thing I want to point out is that it was not "peer reviewed", this is very misleading, because being peer reviwed is supposed to hold some weight. The first thing I noticed about the procedure was that the technician did a better job than the doctor doing the demo, the tech was 3 times as fast as the doctor. The response was not as described, a few doctors commented that the manual fue demo was just as fast. The doctors observing were polite, but did comment that the cost would exclude them from using the device because the demand is not there, the doctor doing the demo even commented that trichophytic closure has changed things tremendously. The funniest thing I noticed was that the reps for neograft both needed a hair transplant. I overheard someone ask the lead rep,"why hasn't the president of neograft gotten a procedure ?" The reply was that he was happy with his look. This is my first time seeing this site, I just noticed it because of the neograft post, and realize that this same post is being repeated on other hair restoration sites.

What is the real benefit to the customer? I can understand something may cost more because there are added benefits to the customer, how do we know exactly what this neograft does that a doctor cannot do manually?
