Am working on the archives and came across this one, thought this is worth reposting.

A a top notch BHT result by any standard.

Hairyashell, Dr. Woods' patient.
3000 BHT Repair, 7 months

This patient had multiple 'Flaps', Scalp Reductions & Strip Excision procedures. All of which left him with an extremely scarred scalp, very little growth, and a severely depleted donor area. There were plugs and pits at the frontal hairline.

3,000 body hair were placed to reconstruct the frontal hairline and extend back to the mid scalp.

Despite severe scarring, there was good yield and a very pleasing result.

These procedures were performed by Dr Ray Woods. The AFTER videos were taken by the patient himself.

Very impressive to me. If I ever need it its great to know I have a bunch of hair all over my body, and there are great Drs out there who can do the job, and myself being Australian, a Fellow Australian Dr who can get the job done.
But fingers crossed I never need it. :-D

I don't think you can go wrong with Woods. I like his yield, he would have been my choice too if not for the distance.

Okay, this is absolutely breathtaking. Decision final: My choise is Woods. I am an NW3 headed for NW6/7; but I have dark skin and great body hair, my only worry is wheather Woods will take me? Hey Duck...hey everyone. I haven't been on this site for quite a while but I thought I'd update my progress. I'll have my latest video up very soon. In the meantime I really need to clear something up.

The transplanted hair on my head which came from my chest looks like chest hair and is a little kinky: my natural hair... even when I had it... was naturally kinky. In fact, I was often dubbed Brillo Pad in my late teens because of it. The hair on the sides of my head, (all mine)is very coarse. In fact the transplanted hair from the chest to the head is softer to the touch and seems to be getting softer by the year.

It's growing wonderfully and nobody looks at it as though it's weird. I have done everything in my power to make sure that you guys know that there is absolutely no ulterior motive for me posting up my videos in my progress other than to protect you all from going through the hell that I did. You can read my previous posts to see what I'm talking about.

I'll be flying to Australia again sometime later in the year to have what I believe will be the final procedure.

Dr. Woods is and remains the best surgeon I've gone to as far as professionalism and results. I guess when you're as good as he is at what you do somebody is always going to try and rip the pedestal from under you. I don't want to focus on all that negative crap.

I've gone to doctors here in the US and they made a mess of me and my head. To me, flying all the way to Sydney to have Dr. Woods complete, what is going to be my fourth procedure, is completely worth it. Again, I have absolutely nothing to gain from this other than a great head of hair and hopefully helping others make the decision to see him also and save themselves being butchered.

Whenever something goes horribly wrong people like to complain about it but seldom do people praise or reward fantastic results. That's why I'm doing it... no other reason. I couldn't be happier with the results. I know what it's like. Also, people can make fun of my hair if they want...so long as there is hair there to be made fun of!

PS: again, the video that I'm posting like all the others except where specified, were under the brightest lighting conditions and shot with my Sony digital camera. No enhancing, no special effects... I've even included close-ups and will provide even more where again, you'll see my fingers running through the hair. I'll be posting the latest results up soon.

I put together the AFTER pics myself just as a quick reference. It was a screenshot taken from the video.

It's one thing if Dr. Woods just posted the pics and nothing else. But there are videos provided along with the pics. It is unfair to suggest that there is "foul" play involved in these patient results. Check the video.

seems a bit disingenuous to me" I hear what you are saying Hangin. The contrast is a little different. But look through the videos again. The first ones before are shot by Woods they are in the office. He probably has better quaility camera then the patient. Which the after videos were shot. I think David just posted this to get a idea of yield from the bh.

whats going on with that 'grafts removal' video? those hairs being plucked out look like they were never even set in the head very well. This video looks exactly how I tweezed out a bunch of hairs from my scalp a few weeks after my procedure that seemed to be shed hairs that didn't fall out on their own. was that a mistake on my part or something?

Given the circumstances, what he has achieved in this case is better then what most clinics could achieve with conventional methods & a virgin scalp.
Say what you want about Dr W but he is obviously an exceptionally intelligent man, a skilled surgeon & a revolutionary thinker. He is a man of very high morals & cares a great deal about his patients well being.
This industry is beneath him. I cannot help but feel that his intellect & surgical skills are wasted in this industry. He is responsible for sparring people from barbaric strip surgery, he has given people their lives back thanks to bht but I wish he never entered this field. I feel even stronger about this point now that HM is on the verge of making all surgery obsolete.
Can u imagine what advancement Dr W could have made in more respectable fields of surgery? When hm puts this industry out of it�s misery, I wouldn�t be the least bit surprised if Dr W went on to another field of surgery & changes the way those procedures are done as he did with this shameless industry.

I would bet my life that with the exception of Dr W, Dr A & Dr Umar, none of these other htp docs will be heard of again once hm is released. None of them will go on to do anything remotely significant or important in the medical world. They will either retire with the vast amounts of money they made ruining peoples lives or they will go back to being a MD; prescribing viagra or antibiotics for a living.

It was a screenshot taken from the video. It's one thing if Dr. Woods just posted the pics and nothing else. But there are videos provided along with the pics. It is unfair to suggest that there is "foul" play involved in these patient results. Check the video. The contrast is a little different. But look through the videos again. The first ones before are shot by Woods they are in the office. He probably has better quaility camera then the patient. 	whats going on with that 'grafts removal' video? those hairs being plucked out look like they were never even set in the head very well. This video looks exactly how I tweezed out a bunch of hairs from my scalp a few weeks after my procedure that seemed to be shed hairs that didn't fall out on their own. was that a mistake on my part or something? michael_77 has 12 Personal Journal(s). 	Given the circumstances, what he has achieved in this case is better then what most clinics could achieve with conventional methods & a virgin scalp. Say what you want about Dr W but he is obviously an exceptionally intelligent man, a skilled surgeon & a revolutionary thinker. He is a man of very high morals & cares a great deal about his patients well being. This industry is beneath him. I cannot help but feel that his intellect & surgical skills are wasted in this industry. He is responsible for sparring people from barbaric strip surgery, he has given people their lives back thanks to bht but I wish he never entered this field. I feel even stronger about this point now that HM is on the verge of making all surgery obsolete. Can u imagine what advancement Dr W could have made in more respectable fields of surgery? When hm puts this industry out of it�s misery, I wouldn�t be the least bit surprised if Dr W went on to another field of surgery & changes the way those procedures are done as he did with this shameless industry. I would bet my life that with the exception of Dr W, Dr A & Dr Umar, none of these other htp docs will be heard of again once hm is released. None of them will go on to do anything remotely significant or important in the medical world.
