Thanks Khalil - your input is always appreciated.
Anyway, the key-part:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“This study may contribute to the development of a cell-based therapy for hair regeneration,”
said Anthony Atala, MD, Editor of STEM CELLS Translational Medicine and director of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine [+ ARI's Scientific Advisory Board Member]. “The research team shows the potential impact of vitamin D to boost the capacity of certain cells in the skin to form hair.”

Vitamin D?
How about vitamin E ingredients ?

Seems there’re a lot of other important factors involved “to [successfully] boost the capacity of certain cells in the skin to form hair”.

So, thats why maybe TOCO8 (Vitamin E) works for hairloss?
Which would be better? Vitamin E or D...?

No. First of all - what this new research paper actually suggests, what they actually found out/did, respectively:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"In a rat model of de novo hair regeneration by murine DPC transplantation, pretreatment [of in the lab cultured dermal papilla cells] with VD3 significantly enhanced hair folliculogenesis. Specifically, a greater number of outgrowing hair shafts and higher maturation of regenerated follicles were observed. Together, these data suggest that VD3 may promote functional differentiation of DPCs and be useful in preserving the hair follicle-inductive capacity of cultured DPCs for hair regeneration therapies."
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
In simple words - when scientists/lab rats culture isolated dermal papilla cells (DPCs) in a petri dish, and if they add VD3 -"a super-active form of Vitamin D"-, they noticed that VD3 "boosted" the cells and they concluded that this enhanced and maintained the ability of the DPCs to induce hair growth if transplanted/injected thereafter into the skin - that's all.
It is well-known since a long time, that DPC's lose their inductive capacity after multiple culturing passages in the lab. These researchers now found out, that this is not so if you add VD3 during the culturing process. So all in all they think, that if - for example - the ARI guys would add VD3 during their (JiGami)cell cultivation process, these cells would keep their hair follicle-inductive capacity and therefore better hair growth after implantation of the cells into the skin - and basically, I agree. But unfortunately, for AGA patients, even if DPCs keep perfectly their hair follicle-inductive capacity - NO HAIR GROWTH IN AGA AFFECTED SKIN. That's -in this particular case- still the main problem ...

You guys still may ask - why?
georgex6 posted recently the following:
http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/board_entry-id-107393-page-0-category-1-order-last_answer-descasc-DESC.html
In simple words – and ONCE AND FOR ALL AGAIN – what especially AGA patients URGENTLY need in addition for any "cell-based therapies" or stem cell transplantation procedures is THE PROPER GENETICALLY PROGRAMMED STEM CELL NICHE - IN ADDITION!!
But unfortunately, the latter is still difficult to reproduce/multiply in the lab – contrary to just their cells.

Seriously? If Vitamin D3 was the cure for hair loss we would know already. It's not believe me.

Iron_Man, I don't think solving hair loss is that complicated.
downregulate inflammation and inject some growth factors that were present when you were in your puberty age.
How would you solve MPB without mentioning anything about cells. Replicel and Aderans are way over their heads with that stuff.
