I have emailed to Follica Inc. about the "launching time" of her procedure:

Hallo, Mrs Dupee. In an interview, Dr. Steinberg said:

"We're testing various different dermatological procedures and drug
interventions to maximize the effect," said Steinberg, whose company has
licensed the technology developed by Cotsarelis. "We'll be testing in
humans within a year."

"If all goes well, Steinberg said, bald men will be able to undergo the
procedure at doctor's offices within a couple of years".

Is it true? It is very important for me. Please answer me.

Her answer was the following:

Dear Sir,
Our goal is to have the procedure available in several years, but that
does not guarantee that it will happen (we can't make any promises).
It's also important to realize that we have only demonstrated the
procedure in mice - we still need to show that it will work in humans
and we need to receive approval from the FDA. There are a lot of
unknowns, but we are working towards making it a reality.

This is bad, this mean that they have nothing... they are still playng with the mouses... HM from follica is 10 years away... they are before the phase 1 with humans, the trials about security... and they need also 2 and 3 phases before a good release... so follica is a dream for a long long future...

Follica, Inc has only been in existence since May of 2007. But their technology -- i.e., their understanding of hair loss -- is based on research that has been conducted over the past ten years. I've been a big believer in Follica from the beginning (much more so than Intercytex) because their hair regeneration approach is based on solid evidence about the WNT/beta-catenin pathway. I'd say 3 years if you're optimistic, 3-5 years more conservatively, 5-7 if you're a pessimist. But don't discount what they're doing!

Yes, i think the same... Intercytex is working on this research for 6/7/8 years and we still have nothing... only words two pictures and strange %... They are already in the middle of the phase 2...
How can follica give an HM before them?

Yes, i think the same... Intercytex is working on this research for 6 (or more) years and we still have nothing... only words two pictures and strange
%... They are now, after this a lot of years in the middle of the phase 2...
How can follica give an HM before them if they are still tryng on the animals...? I think that the only hope in the near future is intercytex with aderans... (because u can have a technique that works, but before the release u have to do a lot of tests in the human.. and this means years, phase 1,2 and 3...)

What "Jen" from Follica told you is exactly what Ive been saying. Its been shown to grow hair in mice, but hasn't been tested in humans yet. When they test wnt-protiens on some intentionally made wounds, they will know if this works in people and on people's scalps.

So----------they simply need to start getting volunteers, making a few different types of small needle-holes on a few bald spots, applying the wnt-protiens, and see if new hairs emerge with different wound-management techniques. Only then will we know for sure.

How time require a procedure like this? I think that is not something the we can have soon... and not beacuse this stuff don't work, i can't say this, but is a research, and the researches, especially on humans, need a lot of time...

Exactly. However, the only way to get there is to start. I would like there to be two-or three ways to defeat MPB. Its better for everyone if there is. If ACELL, HM, and wnt-signallin/wound-healing can all be effective, so much the better for humanity.
