We used to say that whatever the date was the solution was "within 5 years".
So in 2002 it was "within 5 years" and in 2008 it was "within 5 years".
Clearly "within 5 years" was too optimistic. Perhaps "within 25 years" would be better.

The thing that gets me about statements like this, is that when predictions of five years where made all them years ago, it was on the premise that gho/intercytex's derma papal method would work. That method didn't work, so of course it's going to take alot longer for companies like follica, anderans and histogen to develop new protocols. Again when the prediction of five years is made now, it is under the assumption that the methods being tested will work. If HSC or ARI work, we will have them in five years! just because we have had no product in the past five years doesn't mean we haven't advanced, If hair cloning was as easy as derma papal we would of had it years ago already!!! To quote what Cal said a couple of weeks ago, we just don't know!

In 2002 nobody was close enough to have a project on the market in 5 years. People had to ignore the obvious basics of the human testing trials process in order to believe the claims were possible. This was 100% clear at the time those early predictions were made.
If people wanna believe bullsh*t about "maybe it'll happen faster" from ICX or anyone else, then that's their choice. But that doesn't make it so. It also doesn't mean a project is behind schedule when you believe a bullsh*t timeline and then they fail to meet that bullsh*t timeline.
With ICX the truth about the timeframe was obvious ALL ALONG. They were never gonna make their earlier predictions. They were never really even behind schedule if you estimated their schedule realistically in the first place.
The full human trials process in USA or europe reliably takes about a decade.
When you tear away all the bullsh*t and look at ICX-TRC's timeline, here is what you see: ICX made it through 2/3rds of the process before dropping their TRC project. It took ICX about 2/3rds of a decade to get that far. Not real delays, no real surprises, no real disappointments (before the end). They just stayed on a realistic schedule and not a bullsh*t one.

True, true... You are right fckrls that is prolly the aproprate terminology to describe what I am feeling. Yet it kinda seems as though they are toying w/ peoples desperation though if I used my common sense Ide know better since it's already happened before and should be expected.

Oh btw I never responded to your post about using arm hair cuz I knew your heart was in the right place (I think that was u) but I should say I already read on dr rassmans site before that same idea. I'm really tired now and have alot of studying tomorrow so I won't get into detail but he basically said it won't work cuz of the cycling of the hair. So I guess I'm still in the same boat but it's cool... By no means am I ungrateful cuz I did apreciate your help.

Unless you have inside information stating otherwise, their is absolutely no reason to believe that Follica is dying. These things take time. Histogen is not "sick". Their early results are rather promising. Now that doesn't mean they'll produce a viable treatment. You're blatantly stating your opinions as fact, and coming off quite bitter and irrational.

Histogen - Are being quite open about what they want to do, but still have a way to go before there's anything worth getting excited about. The main reason they're being open is because of their need for funding, someone of another forum contacted them recently and was told that they're close to having the funding they need and also have an agreement with their insurance to cover the costs of the lawsuit. So any obstacles in their way are being removed.
Follica - Are silent, they have never had a problem with funding which means they can be as quiet as they like. There isn't a single person on this board or any other who knows what they are doing, so ignore anyone who tries to claim differently. We don't know how near or far away they're from having a treatment.

My prayers r w/ follica they promised to regenerate completely NEW hair and of course 4 me.... Eyebrows....................

Hi Virgo,
Just a couple of questions:
1) Have you lost body hair elsewhere (e.g. legs)?
2) Did you have a few check-ups done, such as:
- Thyroid (you can check it up yourself by taking basal temperature)
- Crohn's disease
- Candida
- wheat and gluten allergy
I lost hair on both legs many years ago (yes, many years). Since I started a gluten & wheat free regimen (a few months ago) and eat only non-pasteurized goat cheese instead of UHT etc cow's milk products, I start to see some regrowth on both legs.
