Dr. Umar: MPB update, 2100 BHT, 5 months (Hair Transplant)

Mmmm.... Ok dear Bodhi take it easy. I actually find it very difficult to understand why you are so upset. All I was trying to do was to give an honest account of my experience and simpathize with somebody who is having a difficult time because of MPB and badly performed HT. I hope you realize that not everybody is familiar with this forum. For instance I found out about this forum only after I bought my hair system from Farrell. If you pay attention to what I wrote you'll quickly realize that people like me and Damon are not the self obsessed paranoid weirdos you are trying to depict in your post. We don't need hair for easthetics reasons. We need hair to look NORMAL.

Take a good look at the vast majority of people that underwent an hair transplant in this forum. Most of them had plenty of hair, looked fine and experienced just a minor recession. Yet they felt the need to have HT or BHT performed on them. Think about that!!!! Me... I'm as bald as it gets and I have been so since I was 20.

You may think I am crazy but before baldness came into my life I was pretty happy. I never aspired to perfection. I never will. Normality is my goal. If I had a big head and a masculine face I wouldn't give a toss about MPB. I see plenty of guys who look terrific with their head shaved.

However when you realize that people can't help but stare at you because in a way or another you look 'different' well.... that's when the real problems begin.

Maybe I was a bit naive to be sold on a hair system that couldn't possibly replace my hair. I know that. The point is that when you are desperate you don't think straight. That's why I think it's important to reiterate the message concerning hair systems and their inadequacy.

On a personal note I don't think this place has become a caricature of what it was in the past. I think it still is a precious source of information for many people. I also strongly believe that sharing our experiences, thoughts, doubts, weakness and hopes is a very healthy and effective way to feel less 'alone'.

Kind regards,
Piero
