Gho (Hair Regrowth Research & Clinical Trials)
» If you mean his HST procedure, it's not a "hair cell injection" procedure,
» at least as currently offered.
It IS roger_that, as described in my previous post. Why?
Because there is absolutely no difference to those (successful) cell-implantation procedures as described 1) in the medical literature and 2) e.g. in (new) ARI patents. It's all about of injecting/implanting the proper cells and proper cell amount PLUS the ideal components.
» As far as his previous research at the GHO Clinic, he was testing what he
» called a procedure known as "hair multiplication" which he held patents
» for, and consisted of the culturing and injection of DP and other cells
» (keratinocytes also cells which he then called "stem cells" ).
Interesing you bring that up...
The following is just a snippet from ARI's new (recently discussed) patent:

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2012/0022433.html
“In one embodiment [besides others],
dermal cells with increased trichogenic ability are injected into the skin as described above. The dermal cells are obtained as described above and are typically autologous cells.
The cells are injected into or adjacent to vellus hair or vellus hair follicles.”

So what's so interesting you may ask?
Dr. Gho, almost 10 years ago at the ISHRS meeting in NewYork:

Hair multiplication
We have shown in several studies that follicular stem cells derived from plucked hair can be cultured. Hair multiplication is a technique whereby cultured follicular stem cells derived from plucked hair from the occipital side of the head are used to regenerate new hairs in bald areas. Because the role of the connective tissue or extracellular matrix surrounding the epithelial portion of the hair follicle is very important for the survival of the implanted cells, we implant the cultured cells into hair follicles which remain in the recipient area [dormant follicles in the frontal area].

So the question remains - should we laugh or should we cry?
Dr. Gho knows since 10 years that this described (now new invented by ARI) procedure doesn't work insofar, because "the connective tissue or extracellular matrix surrounding the epithelial portion" of the almost dead AGA hairs IS DEAD. Exactly these components cause THE problem.
