Yeah, but there is a BIG gap in your infinite wisdom ...

An observer or the patient himself and just with good day after day photos can ALWAYS distinguish between ALL the very SHORT hairs (=regrown hairs - new hair shaft formation starts within HOURS)
versus the much LONGER hairs (=the not extracted hairs) next/around all the very short hairs.

Sorry but this is so clear - even a five year old understands the difference between “SHORT” and “LONG”.

Especially in a very small observed area (for example about 2-3 cm² or so), NO WAY within such a small area for SO MANY shorter regrown hairs (instead of telogen/anagen transition hairs) at almost the same time -contrary to all the other (not extracted) hairs within this area. So you can always distinguish between all the many SHORTER and all the many LONGER hairs within an observed extraction area – in case someone didn’t mark the extraction sites/holes.

The latter is not so difficult with conventional FUE – because there is no need to mark the extraction sites, because you will ALWAYS see these sites anyhow – small round SCARS until you die. This is not so (or rather rare) with HST – even in those extraction sites, where there is indeed no regrowth.

@gc – the regrowth process, or what exactly happens in the skin at the time if there were partial follicle extractions or correct anagan hair plucks (plucked hair shafts with enough follicle tissue attached), is well discribed in the medical literatur since a long time – even including the part how long exactly it takes for a) follicle regeneration in general as well as b) new HAIR SHAFT formation after such events; whereby the latter starts mostly IMMEDIATELLY in the skin and the new hair shafts consist just of dead cells –similar to the characteristic of wound scaps on the skin surface. In this case it’s not my intention to provide any links or papers, because it’s not my intention to show idiots like Dr. Cole (including some other losers in this field) THE science.
