I believe some cases could need up to 15-20,000 grafts

Keep in mind that hairs taken from the pube area, chest, and beard al have lower yield rates in the recipient area. Thusly, of the 15,000 Umar planted, maybe 9,000 survived.

what I often see is doctors suggesting 8,000-12,000 grafts (or hairs?), with 12,000 being the maximum for a pretty good donor nw7. In reality, you would probably need 15,000-17,000, as the 12,000 is just the max you could do, and not the actual number you'll want.
