ť I'm not computer savy enough to know how the imposter did it, but it is
ť possible for guys to make ip's appear different even if they are posting

no , computer savvy guys cannot move IPs , they can use a proxy ip , and hide their real ip with a fake one, but , they cannot just chose an Ip, And suddenly assume that ip address,
